From my travels on Historic Route 66 from Victorville, Ca to Amboy, CaRoy’s Café
Historic Roy’s Café is a 1940s café,
1930s motel, and gas station on historic
Route 66. Numerous photo shoots have
been done in Amboy.
In April 2005, Albert Okura, founder of
the Juan Pollo restaurants, purchased the
town of Amboy, along with Roy’s Café,
motel, and gas station. Mr. Okura plans
to renovate the restrooms, and reopen the
convenience mart, and gas station.
