The sword didn’t even leave its sheath. You never failed to impress yourself, Wonder Woman now stood before you, the machine still rewriting her mind. Her calm and collected face could barely even show how pissed she was, thank goodness she couldn’t move, or you’d probably be cut in half by now. Something about the praise seems incredibly enjoyable to Diana, and it somewhat drowns out the irritation at the shortening of her name. Rocking back onto her knees, she gives a submissive smile.

I motion for her to ride

'Thank you...' The earpiece directs her back to her armour, and before she's really aware of what she's doing, she's battle ready once more.

“Patrol the building. Make sure you weren’t followed.”
I wave her off, wanting to see how she responds to her new purpose

With almost military precision, she spins round to head down the corridor, her steps surprisingly silent as she paces and patrols...

I follow behind her, watching her go.
“Very good, see anything?”

'Not yet.' The words are out of her mouth before she even has time to think about them. Then: 'hold on.'

I gaze at what she has in mind.
“See something?”

'No, but I hear something...' She pauses, dropping low. 'There's movement at the end of the corridor.'

“Yes, would you like to check it out?”
I smile at her

She stalks forward, slowly, silently, making her way to the end of the corridor... Then, in a flash, she spins round, lunging out, and grabs hold of something... Or someone. There's a loud scream, and she drags a figure out from the shadows, a mousy blonde girl with glasses, an ugly blue sweater, and a long skirt.

I walk towards her.
“Hello Miss, you aren’t causing trouble are you?”

'I-I'm sorry!' She seems utterly distressed, barely stammering out the words. 'I-I'm a reporter, I work here, I was here when we got evacuated, I just left one of my stories so I came back for it!'

“And what story is that?”
I give her a soft smile, giving her a false sense of security

In spite of your smile, the pretty little blonde keeps stammering. 'It's a s-scoop on the homeless shelters in the city...'

“We should let her get her story, right Di?”

Diana nods, releasing the woman, who stumbles forwards, heading over to a nearby door, blithely ignorant. 'Thank you! My office is right here, I promise I won't take long!'

The woman opens the door, glancing nervously between the two of you as she enters a room filled with desks and computers, heading over to one of them and retrieving a stack of papers...

I note as the grabs the stack.
“That seems a lot more than one story.”

Trying to hold onto it along with you, she riffles through the papers. 'It's just a big story, see?'

I tilt my head

'I-I don't see why not? It's not very interesting though...' Flicking through it, it's exactly what she claims it is.

“So, what got you into reporting exactly? I’m sure all the exciting tales about heroes and villains wasn’t it, based on your cutesy little headlines.”

'Oh, uh...' She looks nervously between you and the imposing lady beside you. 'My cousin's a journalist, and he inspired me to try and always seek the truth!'

“Lovely. I’m shocked you don’t know my lovely companion here. From what I gather, she’s quite popular.”

She shakes her head rapidly, adjusting her glasses. 'O-Oh, I know who she is! I just assumed she didn't want everyone fawning over her!'

“She doesn’t mind.”
I give Diana a look.
“Do you?”

Diana shakes her head.
'Well, I mean, you're Wonder Woman. That's all I really had to say.' She shifts her feet awkwardly. 'May I go now?'

“Are you sure you don’t want to stay and chat some more?”
I cock my head

((Oh, thanks! I wasn't really thinking much about it - I was imagining her as Kara Danvers but not Supergirl, so like a regular reporter who looks a lot like Melissa Benoist. If you'd like to control her you can, I don't mind either way.))
She laughs a little nervously, shuffling her papers together under her arm. 'That's very kind of you, but I really don't think-'

I look to Diana

I pull up a chair, and nod to Diana to get one for my....guest?

'Well, the alarm went off - that's why we were all evacuated?' Diana pulls up a chair for her, surprising her a little as she sits.

“Must have been a false alarm...it’s very safe here. Especially with such good help.”
I gesture to Diana

'Right... So, what did you want to know about me?' She's still a little fidgety in her seat.

I chuckle, shaking my head at her nervousness.

I sigh

Diana's strong grip grabs hold of the girl's shoulders, beginning to massage them roughly. 'Ow!'

I make the motion with my fingers.
“Anyhow. What did you say your name was again, my dear?”

She looks extremely unsettled as Diana smiles wide. 'Kara... Kara Danvers...'

I smile.
“Don’t you agree Enforcer?”

'Lovely...' Diana's voice is very monotonous, and Kara, sensing something's up, tries to jump to her feet, only to be held down. 'Hey!'
