had apicture of Juggernaut he needed colored so I helped him out a bit. As I was coloring it, I gave a little thought to the X-Men movies and honestly... How badly Fox has messed up the X-Franchises on the movies.

Think about for a moment about all the various story lines that they cannot make a movies out of, just because they've screwed up what they've screwed up already. Any kind of brother-in-law antagonism between Cain Marko (Juggernaut) and Charles Xavier is out. Kitty Pryde's coming of age story is out (as is probabloy her relationship with Colossus, as well as her youthful adventures with Excaliber. (As Ellen Page is now 26 years old and of course, these stories have nothing to do with Wolverine.) Scott and Alex Summers brotherly rivalry, as Cyclops is now dead and Havoc is... Whatever the hell he is now. Also, anything to do with Cable, as Scott and Jean both are dead. (Even though the latter has a history of resurrection.) And let's not forget the eccentric relationship between a recently widowed Scott and Emma Frost. As, once again, Cyclops is dead and Emma is apparently running around during the Cuba Missile Crisis in her underwear. (At least that last part's not contradictory to comic fiction.) Any story with Hope Summers. (No Cable, no Hope.) Then there's anything faithful to Deadpool. Doesn't matter what, especially after his role in the Origins movie. No matter whatever Ryan Reynolds wants to pretend the next movie will be like, do we really think they'll make the over the top, hilarious, Bea Arthur-loving, fourth wall breaking merc with a mouth? Because you know, the X-Movies are known for their lighthearted comedic moments.

Then of course things like the Brood. Fox cringes at giant robots and we're all shocked that they're even considering the Sentinels. You think they'll give a thumbs up for alien bugs that look a little too close to their own Aliens franchise? Not to mention Mojo with Longshot and Spiral... And not to mention anything with the Shi'Ar empire, with Deathbird, the Starjammers, and you can pretty much forget about any past history with Rogue and Carol Danvers now. (Unless they go with the “Lightning Lady” excuse from the old Fox cartoon.)

In other words, any story that doesn't involve Wolverine.

And that's not even mentioning the stories and characters they DID screw up, such as the Cure story, Dark Phoenix Saga, the Wolverine miniseries... Seriously, that movie was twenty minutes away from being an actual great movie. It's like running the ball all the way down to the end zone, with no one in sight, and tripping and fumbling at the ten yard line. It was one of those rare movies where if it wasn't for the last twenty minutes, it would have been an ACTUAL near perfect movie... Until the ending. It's rare to have movies like that. It's usually boring or disappointing all the way through and you get a bad ending. But to have an actual good movie turn sour that fast and that suddenly was actually an amazing feat in it's own.

I know that Days of Future Past is coming up, but Bryan Singer's the guy that made Superman a deadbeat father and copied the plot from the first Superman movie. Do we really have that much hope in him fixing the universe?
