This literally started after seeing this on Equestria Daily and the influx of "lol so cute" comments kind of completely annoyed me a lot. I'm surprised you found me even 'somewhat' civilised during my breakdown here :'D
I'll just keep my distance from this guy's art just so I don't freak out again.

You don't know what the artists intention for drawing in his style is. Maybe he just really really enjoys drawing in that style and that's all that matters when you're an artist. Doing what you enjoy is very important to the creative process, otherwise you're not creating for the right reasons.
If you feel like this style is some kind of cop out to what you feel is art that is "worth shining spotlight over" then that's your subjective opinion. This style is simple yes, but simplicity is what caters to the masses. The population at large loves simple things and there's nothing wrong with that.
Also to be honest (and I hate saying things like this) but I think the only reason you've acted so aggressively towards this artist is because of some jealousy. Again I hate saying that, but he's getting a vast amount of attention for an art style you don't agree with and your aggressive tone towards that fact doesn't help back up any intellect that may have been behind the argument you're trying to make.Β
In any case, LifeLoser is a very kind individual and I believe with 100% certainty that he didn't so this out of malice. He made a mistake any artist could have made, apologized for it, learned the errors of his ways, and corrected it instead of rejecting the criticism and that's something I respect.

You are right. I have a tendency to get envious and this is no exception. I'm not jealous of the art, I hate the art, but I hate that it's gotten so popular despite being unoriginal. I know it sounds strange but all this comic strip has done is depress me because I try hard and get no where. Even when my art was featured on Equestria Daily it got barely any fans. I'll get over it soon but I'd hate to see more of the same crap get spotlighted
