===============
My entry for 's "Become a Legend, Season 2" Contest. I hope I made it in time. So here goes.
At a time not too long ago, a large family of Shroomish and Breloom lived deep in Petalburg Woods. One day, one of the young male Shroomish made a promise to marry one of the female Shroomish. But not soon after, a human intruded in their home and forcibly took the young Shroomish away. The Shroomish was forced to fight as the human's Pokemon and eventually grew to be the Human's strongest Pokemon, a Breloom, even against his own wishes. However the guileful human promised to return him as soon as the human was declared the new champion of Hoenn. The Breloom, hopeful from the promise, followed the Human through many cities until they had achieved the eight gym badges required to enter the Hoenn League Championship.
Together with the Humans other Pokemon, a Houndoom, Swellow, Raichu, Tentacruel and Dusclops, they finished every battle up to the finals with no problems. Until the finals. The opponent had used his first two Pokemon to take out the Human's first two that were sent out. The other finalist sent out his Pokemon and the Human sent out Breloom, but there was a huge problem: the opponent was an unbelievably fast Skarmory. Try as Breloom might, he could not deal damage enough to knock out the opponent, his Seed Bombs useless and Mach Punches resisted by incredible defenses. Unable to switch out due to 3v3 tournament rules, he soon found himself KOed and withdrawn into his Pokeball.
After the battle was over, the human released the half-fainted Breloom on Ever Grande Isle.
'Get out of my sight.' the Human shouted, other trainers and Pokemon glancing at the loud voice. The Human then flew away on his Swellow, who shot an evil look at the Breloom.
Left all alone, the Breloom hobbled back into the Hoenn Pokemon League building nearby, collapsing on the counter of the Healing Center's main desk. They took him in without a word.
The next morning, wrapped in bandages but fully recovered, he set out on the trip to return home, hoping along the seemingly endless black and water-worn rocks until he reached the mainland, where he retook the same routes he was taken through as the Human's slave.
He arrived back in Petalburg Woods within one week of leaving Ever Grande City. But something was amiss: his home was ablaze, and none of the Shroomish and Breloom from his past were nearby. But even through the smell of smoke, he could distinguish six familiar scents, the Human and his old "allies".
There were footprints in the ashy soil, leading deeper into the blaze. He followed them, having no other course of action if he ever wanted to recover the life he had lost.
The footprints led him through the forest to another area he could remember traveling through with Human and co: Rustboro Tunnel.
The human and his five Pokemon were there, a large pile of injured Breloom and Shroomish being protected by a strange winged Pokemon he had only seen once before: A Crobat.
He rushed at the Pokemon he had once fought alongside and easily knocked out Houndoom and Raichu with one Mach Punch each. He then took aim Swellow and Tentacruel who both folded after two direct attacks each.
But before he could take down the Dusclops, the Crobat clamped on his leg with Poison Fang, poisoning him. He easily took it out with a reflexive Stomp but found his strength soon faltering. He couldn't hold out against the last and toughest of the bunch: Dusclops.
He found himself on the ground while the poison worked its course. The Human strolled over after recalling all of the fainted Pokemon and pulled out an Antidote. Holding the Antidote in his hand, he smiled, gloating.
'Oh, what is this?" he tossed the Antidote at the pile of mushroom pokemon.
"You want them to live, right? Well, too bad. You failed your side of the deal so now you pay the price. Do it!'
Breloom could not see what the Dusclops was doing but the cries of pain from many Shroomish and Breloom told him exactly what was going on.
No. I can't die now. They need me! I cannot let him get away with this!
The Breloom struggled back to his feet, his vision fading as the poison wrecked havoc on its Grass-type body.
The Human just watched and laughed.
'Psychic the thing to the wall.'
The Breloom was sent flying towards the stone wall of the cave.
His unconscious body slumped to the ground.
'Hahahaha. Now I know why you lost that fight. You are really just a weakling! Dusclops, finish the job!'
Breloom could not see or hear anything as the poison continued disabling his body. He did not hear anything as a Shadow Ball charged in the Dusclops hands. But even unconscious, he could hear his last thought:
Stop him.
Suddenly, the poison seemed to dissipate. He felt a sensation like one he had felt once before: when he evolved from a Shroomish. The sensation gave him strength as his vision world resolved into sense.
The Human just looked at the Breloom with shock as its body glowed white.
'I-Impossible! Brelooms can't evolve!'
But evolve it did. And soon the white glow dissipated and revealed the Pokemon's newly born Pokemon, Samushroom.
The Dusclops let loose the Shadow Ball it had been charging for a time.
With a flash of metal, the Shadow Ball exploded.
'Wh-what happened! What did he do, Dusclops!?'
Dusclops didn't have time to react as a steel sword hit him from the side and smacked him into one of the other walls of the cave.
Samushroom stood there as the dust settled, his steel tail sword held between his red steel claws.
"You."
'Wh-who-what are you!?'
"You do not deserve to know my name."
The confident, evil look was long gone from the Human's face as he stood there defenseless against Samushroom.
"Leave this place! Lest you incur more of my wrath than what you are owed!"
The human ran, recalling his last Pokemon.
"Leave now!"
The Human just ran.

I loved designing this Pokemon. Its my first design for a Fakemon and also my first drawing edited in Photoshop. Breloom are one of my favorite Pokemon, ranking high among the Torchic line, Ralts line, Luxray line, Budew line, and others. I hoped to evolve an already strong Pokemon into something that no other can really stand up to. So Steel was a definite choice, changing it's 4 times weakness to Flying into a 4 times weakness to Fire.
I almost submitted the entry to late though the story was definetly late. I'm sorry . <3
I want to read more M3W >: O
