FogClan

Territory: FogClan’s home is in the Northwestern territory of the clans. It is a lush territory filled with foliage and home to many different types of prey. Their most striking feature is the rocky beach reaching out to the ocean. Fog rolls in from the ocean into their camp, and the cats of FogClan are incredibly good at hunting with this fog. Over generations they have perfected using the fog as a veil. FogClan shares a border with their ally and friend BluffClan, and with the destroyed AshClan. The border they share with BluffClan is the river running down into the ocean. Here the two clans meet in friendly fishing competitions and converse over the border. The wooded areas of their home consists of mostly fir and spruce trees with the occasional redwood. They also have a surplus of berry bushes making bears a huge problem for the cats of this clan.

Camp: FogClan camp is very protective and odd to say the least. It was completely created when three or four redwoods fell during the earthquake. They crashed down on top of each other creating something like a roof. The original FogClan cats chose this as a good location for a camp and began working. The trees offered great cover, but the area under it was a little snug. The cats dug out some of the dirt with their powerful legs, a project which took a very long time. They managed to cover the top of the fallen logs with other branches which projects the rain away from the cats living in it. Inside is is a very uncomplicated layout where most of the cats sleep out on the dirt in dried leaf bedding. The leader has a softer bed than most of the other cats. The warriors sleep out together in a grouping of bedding while the apprentices sleep in a different grouping. The Nursery is tucked away in the back where the queens will be safest. The camp is a good one protecting them from most types of precipitation, but during emergencies it’s easy to flood the camp thanks to the fact it has only one entrance.

Herb Garden: All of FogClan’s herbs come from a very specific spring ripe with vegetation. Nearly every type of medicine needed for FogClan is found here. Burdock Root, Catmint, Bright Eye, Daisies, Broom, Chamomile, Heather, Goldenrod, and anything else a medicine cat could dream of grows here. Spiders are very common here, also meaning cobwebs are common as well. Outside of medicinal importance, this spot is incredibly relaxing with beautiful flowers and a babbling spring a cat cannot help but feel at ease being here. This spot is still struggling to recover from the destruction AshClan brought to it, but it seems to be reviving almost magically.

Searocks: The area where the beach morphs into cliffs that scale towards the sky is named Searocks by the FogClan cats. This rocky area is great for sharpening claws, sunbathing, and exploring. While FogClan cats are not as skilled at climbing as the cats of BluffClan they’re not awful at it. This spot is also wonderful for snooping on BluffClan, as if you squint and close one eye you can sorta see the entrance to their camp. This is a great place for training an apprentice to use their surroundings to their advantage, or even just a nice place for a nap.

Snake Beach: Before the forest turns into beach, the land becomes rough and spotted with rocks. Large, small, and jagged they can be a hard to maneuver through, but to a skilled warrior they hold many places for prey to hide. Lizards, Mice, and the occasional baby bird can be found squeezed between the sandy rocks. The rocks are not without challenge, as they also hide snakes. Cats are taught to tread carefully here, or they could possibly meet a quick end. Once you make it passed the rocks you find a beautiful beach with lapping waves and cool air. Nothing frees a cat’s mind better than fresh ocean air, and possibly a nice crab for the fresh kill pile.

Diet: FogClan cats are resourceful hunters, and have many tricks up their sleeves. The true talent of FogClan is being able to use fog to hunt their prey. They commonly hunt squirrels, mice, fish, frogs and non-venomous snakes. FogClan fishes rarely, but all cats of the clan are taught how to. If you were to ask any of the cats they would tell you it was probably only to compete with BluffClan. On a rare occasion FogClan has seen many turkeys, and have a history with being able to work together to kill one. Their freshkill pile is centered in their camp shrouded by the cover of the fallen trees. It is easy to access, and rarely empty.

FogClan faces many different threats, but the biggest being bears. They have plenty of berry bushes spotting their territory, and this attracts the giant creatures. FogClan never challenges bears, and always keep a large girth away from one. There are also plenty of birds of prey which are a huge problem. Mountian lions and bobcats often create problems as well. When hunting for snakes cats will often come across venomous rattlesnakes, which are most certainly an instant death.
- Common Prey: Garter snakes, Ground Squirrels, Mice, Frogs
- Seasonal Prey: Turkey, Salmon
- Threats: Bears, Mountian Lions, Bobcats, Rattlesnakes

BluffClan

Territory: BluffClan is the most diverse territory in the whole forest. They have the most types of trees, Aspen, Fir, Spruce, and Redwoods along with a sprawling meadow, harrowing cliffs, and beautiful rivers. The cats of BluffClan are prepared for anything, and love to give themselves a challenge. BluffClan’s most obvious feature is that of their cliffs. The forest abruptly ends in cliffs in many points of the BluffClan territory. Falling off these cliffs is certainly a death sentence, and BlufflClan uses this to their advantage in battles. They are also extremely smart with the bluffs using them to hunt nesting birds, and even placed their camp in the hidden side of the bluffs. They share a border with their ally and old friends FogClan, and the destroyed SproutClan. They have accepted many different cats into their territory as refugees, and are doing everything they can to help the forest come back to life.

Camp: The ancestors of BluffClan made the camp in the side of the rocks that dropped down to the ocean. There, the cats found a small cave that did not go back too far, but it had just the right attributes to make it their camp. It has an ocean view out of its only entrance. From the ceiling hang large stalactites and the floor is scattered with stalagmites. The leader does not have a den, but an open bed on a high cliff edge of the camp. Here they conduct the announcements to the clan, but also sleep. The medicine cat den is located in a concave area of rock that has had small pockets etched into it over the generations. The warriors and apprentices sleep out on the floor of the cave where they can watch the ocean. Their bedding is made of grass they have harvested from their territory. The elders and queens are located farther back in the cave. The nursery is located in a small circling of Stalagmites. Clumps of moss also grow in the nursery where the kits are born and taken care of by the queens. During times of crisis, their camp holds itself well, as it is tricky to get in and out of if you were not raised to do so. Many battles have ended with cats of the enemy being thrown off the cliff or falling as they tried to secure the heart of BluffClan territory.

Wind Challenge Bluff: On the cliffs of Bluffclan there is an area where two ridges almost meet each other. They stretch out towards the ocean with only a jump’s length between them. The cats of BluffClan will sometimes challenge each other to jump the expanse. It is an exercise of trust and ability. If you miss the jump you can easily fall to your death, but it’s a very reverend right of passage. Depending on the leader at the time the Wind Challenge Bluffs can be outlawed as too dangerous. No apprentices are allowed to do the challenge regardless if the leader says so or not, and it is not necessary. Other than being a site for a fun challenge, Wind Challenge is not much more than that. Just another small section of Bluff with wind blowing up from the ocean below.

Dove’s Field: The only field in the forest is in BluffClan territory. It’s a small open flower meadow that hosts many doves. Many cats of BluffClan come here to hunt the doves, or even to smell the flowers. It’s a relaxing expanse with beautiful smells, and a few nice rocks to sunbathe on. Many cats are warned against hunting here as this is the easiest place for birds of prey to steal an apprentice or even a full grown cat. The Medicine cats of BluffClan collect many different types of medicinal herbs here.

Deepwoods: At the southernmost tip of BluffClan territory the fir and spruce trees of the forest become so incredibly dense that they’re hard to traverse. The bases of the trees are close together, and the ground is so thick with ferns that even finding footing can be difficult. Here during great times of need the cats of BluffClan will hunt rodents, but the cats of Bluffclan must be careful. Cats have become easily lost in the wilderness of the deepwood unable to find their way out of the forest. The warriors of BluffClan are taught to always leave markers or a way to escape if they need to. If a cat needs alone time this is the place to go, just make sure you can leave!

Nest Cliffs: Steep cliffs that border the ocean. The small shelves serve as a nesting location for bird colonies, such as gulls and swallows. These birds make for ample prey during the breeding season, but reaching the nests can be perilous. Although cliff-scaling is a skill taught to all BluffClan apprentices, any hunting done along these cliffs must be supervised by an experienced warrior. It is often said that many cats have died from a misplaced pawstep.

Diet: BluffClan cats’ diet consists of mainly fish from the river. The ocean is impossibly to hunt from, but the cats have mastered their ability to fish which comes in handy since their territory is surrounded by water on all sides. Other than fish they will hunt reptiles and amphibians that collect along the rocks of their territory. Seabirds are also hunted during newleaf through greenleaf when they nest among the cliff shelves. In very rare instances when water is scarce they have learned to hunt bat and small mammals on their territory. Their fresh kill pile is located right under the leader’s den in a small patch of moss and deadgrass.
-Common prey: fish, lizards, frogs, newts, doves
-Seasonal prey: seabirds, mice, bats, voles
-Threats: Eagles, ospreys, foxes

SproutClan

Territory: Previously a Clan with more redwoods than any of their three rivals, SproutClan is a shell of their former glory. After the destruction of the fire almost all of their landmarks were destroyed. Their camp and one of their hunting grounds survived along with the largest redwood in their territory. Their sacrifice to the forest will never be forgotten, and their faith in StarClan has not faltered. While the cats of this clan wait out the rebirth of their home they are now welcomed into FogClan and BluffClan as refugees during a forest-wide truce. The territory of SproutClan is currently treated as neutral ground, but no hunting is allowed.

Camp: The camp of SproutClan survived the fire and now exists as a ring of stones surrounded by half scorched trees. The fire scraped past their camp only destroying the outer edges of the redwoods that encompassed the camp. The interior of the camp are multiple boulders with rooms dug into the earth under them. Here the cats of SproutClan slept, and lived. The nursery is tucked between the area where three large boulders met. Moss is spread across the floor to create a plush environment. The leaders den was dug out under the largest rock in the glade. Atop their own bedroom, the leader of SproutClan called out announcements for their Clan.

Martyr Rock: Previously known as Highrock, renamed Martyr Rock is the only other landmark of SproutClan that survived the fire. This rock was known as the best place to sunbathe in the whole clan. Almost half as tall as the redwoods, if you climbed to the top you could touch the lowest branches. Though it is not as tall as Moontouch boulder, it is the second tallest reachable point in the clans. Some SproutClan cats come here to pray to StarClan for a quick recovery of the territory.

AshClan

Territory: Destroyed by the fire, nothing remains of AshClan. Charred remains of fir, spruce, and redwood trees litter the desolate landscape. Not even a fern was left untouched. AshClan territory was punished along with its clan for attempting to destroy the peace of the forest. Many of the trees in the territory have obvious signs of being struck by lightning which was the cause of the fire. The land has an eerie feeling lingering in the air. Haunted by an entire clan’s demise no other cats will even consider stepping foot back into the territory. Some cats have even been hearing howls of wolves from the empty expanse of ruined land. Cats of all clans claim that StarClan punished Webstar for eternity bringing him back as a wolf with an insatiable need to eat cats. Each leader has declared the land off limits, and no cat will be allowed to step a paw in its borders.

Old Camp: All that is left of the old camp of AshClan, is their meeting boulder. Once a camp flourishing with ferns and arching fir trees, it’s now a lump on the horizon. The giant boulder where Webstar would announce to his clan their new apprentices, and promote their warriors. If you stand at the edge of FogClan and squint you can even see the boulder. It is stained with a giant black mark. Here is where Webstar was killed by StarClan. His body was incinerated instantly by a dramatic lightning bolt, and the rock underneath bared witness to it. The camp is even more eerie than the rest of the territory. Haunted by the ghosts of cats that were killed her, and even sometimes you can see RushStar standing where he was murdered.

Neutral Territory

The Sky Tree: Once a moon the Clans all meet together at The Sky Tree. It is the tallest redwood in the forest located on a small island in the middle of the split river. There are a few different fallen logs that stretch across the river leading towards the tree. Here all cats of the clans meet under a truce and announce their news to the other clans. There are a few boulders in the clearing, and the cats invited to the gathering are all sitting around or on top of the boulders as the leaders sit at the very base of the tree. They step forward to give their news, and every cat cheers for the accomplishment of each clan.

Moontouch Boulder: A sacred place to the cats of the clan. Moontouch Boulder is a giant rock that stretches higher than the redwoods in the forest. Carved into the side is a path that leads to the very top. Here is where the cats of the clans can be as close to StarClan as physically possible. Medicine cats visit here every half-moon to share tongues with StarClan. Newly appointed Leaders come here to receive their nine lives from StarClan as well. Either a Medicine Cat or a Leader may visit the Moontouch boulder at any time to get any input they need from StarClan. Moontouch Boulder is located in BluffClan territory, and any cats are allowed to trespass into BluffClan as long as their intentions are to visit Moontouch Boulder. Cats that are not leaders or medicine cats cannot visit here.
