Description
Nick is a 24-year-old who works in a small coffee shop in London. He always uses the subway in the morning and walks a few blocks to get to work early. One day, he was about to get to work when he suddenly started to have a severe headache, he tried to stand up, but it was so much pain that he fainting on the street. After a few minutes, Nick woke up completely disoriented, because everything around him was different, everything looked very big, almost as if he had simply shrunk. But to his surprise, that's what happened, Nick shrunk to the size of a small coin. He was totally terrified, he didn't know what to do. Suddenly, he heard a loud sound behind him, it was a giant car that was heading straight towards him. Scared, Nick ran to safety so the car wouldn't crush him. No matter how much he ran, it seemed like if he didn't advance, because he was very small, but unexpectedly he managed to reach the sidewalk, finally getting safe, or so he believed.Unfortunately for him, he was outside the house of Harrison Osterfield, who went barefoot outside to pick up the newspaper. Nick was still a little shaken when he saw that a large shadow was over him. He quickly turned to see what was going on and found Harrison's large sole rapidly approaching him. He tried to run to escape again, but this time he wasn't so lucky. Harrison's meaty sole landed hard on Nick. Although Harrison did feel that he had squashed something, he didn't care because he thought it was some insect. Nick was on the sole when he regained consciousness, the only thing he saw was the ground and a large mass of flesh that had him surrounded, he tried to move but couldn't do it when unexpectedly, he rose into the air, it felt as if he was flying, the floor was seen far away, but suddenly it began to approach. Nick didn't know what was happening, he screamed in fear because he thought the fall was going to kill him, each time he saw the ground getting closer, until he hit it, being crushed again by the great mass of meat. When he thought that everything was over, Nick again rose into the air, and then ended up on the floor again. It was then that he finally understood what was happening, someone had crushed him and he had stuck to his sole.
Harrison without knowing any of this calmly entered his house. He put the newspaper on the table and went to the living room to watch a movie, propping his feet up on the table so he could rest. In that position, Nick was finally able to see something else besides the ground. He could see that he was in someone's house, and worst of all, that person was watching a movie, which meant he didn't even know he had someone stuck to his foot. Upon realizing this, Nick began to scream desperately so that the person who had stepped on him would know that he was there. But his attempts were futile, as Harrison didn't hear any of the cries for help.
Hours passed, and Harrison continued to go about his daily activities barefoot at home, until nightfall and he went to sleep in his bed. Nick was already tired of screaming and constantly being crushed, so he fell asleep that night on the sole as well. The next morning, Nick woke up to a sudden movement that brought him back straight to the ground, he assumed that Harrison had woken up and that he was going to start his routine again, but what he didn't think was that Harrison was going to take a shower and then run a 26-mile marathon. Nick was surprised when he stopped looking at the ground and started to see some flip-flops, then he heard how Harrison began to take off his clothes and realized that he was going to take a shower, although it was not something to be surprised, it had to happen somewhere moment, but he also thought that maybe it was his chance to finally be able to detach from that person's sole. While Harrison was taking the shower, Nick tried not to drown in all the water, and also tried to detach himself, but his attempts were useless, being stuck on the sole all day, and having been constantly crushed, had left him very glued.
Harrison finally got out of the shower and put on his running clothes. Nick was even more scared when he found out that Harrison was going out, as that implied that he was going to be locked in his shoes for a long time, so with the last of his strength he gave a desperate shout for help, but as in the previous times, Harrison didn't hear him. Hopelessly, Nick accepted his fate as Harrison slowly pulled his socks on until they covered the small body that was on his foot.
Harrison ran all day long in the marathon, taking stronger and stronger steps, but not knowing that poor Nick was on his fleshy and soft sole, that was more and more sweaty, until a moment came when seemed like if Nick was in a swamp with a horrible smell, from so much sweat that it came off Harrison's fingers. And the only thing poor Nick could do was accept that horrible fate.
