Well... it probably sounds really stupid.
I knew it wasn't their fault that they wandered into the house and scared the hell out of me, after all, so I didn't feel it was very fair to smash them. Spiders really are good to have around too since they keep all the other bugs under control so yeah...
Don't know if that would work for you but yeah, that was my motivation.

Don't worry, it doesn't sound stupid. But for me, I have no problems with killing them, i just can't get close enough to kill them myself. I suppose eventually I can work up the courage to kill them myself, but as of now, I'm too phobic to be closer than halfway across the room.

As a severe acrophobic who runs screaming for a spider the size of a period, I have to say that is quite possibly the cutest thing I have ever seen. It's...it's the eyes, I think. I don't care how many it has, it's just...it's so adorable!

I really wish the depth of field was deeper, but I understand that that's a challenge with micro. Getting anything in focus is impressive, and you clearly really know what you are doing. I love the way the little hairs stand out ^_^ Very nice.
