Modesty Blaise and her loyal friend Willie Garvin are hired by a mysterious benefactor to steal a priceless emerald from a heavily guarded museum in Istanbul. The emerald, known as the Emerald Eye, is said to have mystical powers and is coveted by a ruthless cult leader, who plans to use it for his sinister purposes.

Modesty and Willie infiltrate the museum, using their skills and gadgets to evade the security systems and guards. They reach the display case where the emerald is kept, only to find that it has been replaced by a fake. They realize that they have been double-crossed by their employer, who is none other than the cult leader himself. He has lured them into a trap, hoping to capture them and use them as sacrifices for his ritual.

Modesty and Willie fight their way out of the museum, facing the cult leader’s henchmen and a deadly assassin, who has a personal vendetta against Modesty. They manage to escape, but not before the cult leader swears revenge. Modesty and Willie decide to track him down and retrieve the emerald, before he can unleash its power on the world.
