Waddle the platypus loved to explore. Every day, he would waddle out of his burrow and set off on a new adventure. He would climb trees, swim in rivers, and chase butterflies. One day, Waddle waddled all the way to the edge of the forest.

He had never been so far before! He was a little scared, but he was also excited. He took a deep breath and waddled into the unknown, ready to see what new wonders awaited him.

As Waddle waddled into the unknown, he saw many strange and wonderful things. He saw a big red rock that looked like a giant mushroom. He saw a flock of pink birds that flew in a V-shape. He saw a pond full of green slime that bubbled and fizzed. He was amazed by everything he saw, and he wanted to explore more.

He decided to follow the pink birds, hoping they would lead him to something interesting. He ran after them, trying to keep up with their fast pace. He didn’t notice that he was leaving the forest behind, and entering a dry and dusty land. He also didn’t notice that the sun was getting hotter and hotter, and that he was getting thirstier and thirstier.

He finally caught up with the pink birds, and saw that they had landed on a big metal fence. He climbed up the fence, curious to see what was on the other side. He was shocked to see a huge building with many windows and doors. He had never seen anything like it before. He wondered what it was, and what was inside.

He saw a sign on the fence that said “Zoo”. He didn’t know what that meant, but he thought it might be a place where animals lived. He decided to go inside and find out. He jumped off the fence, and waddled towards the nearest door. He pushed it open with his bill, and entered the zoo.
