I often say that each MUV69 is unique. The difference may be in a shape of the cab, the lights, type of the hydraulic arm crane or no crane being used at all, the markings and also customization done by the crews of these vehicles.

This MUV69 is lacking the usual hydraulic arm crane, but it is equipped with this very interesting contraption that holds two rails. My guess is that the vehicle is used mostly for the purpose of sudden emergency. When a case of broken rail occurs, the track electrical circuit is interrupted and the emergency crew is sent to look for the broken rail. Broken part is then cut out in length of few meters and the spare rail is used to replace it, being fixed with the joint bars until it can be welded together later.

Because broken rail can happen at any time, there is always an emergency crew stationed in the area that is ready to respond. Especially in the night and in bad weather conditions this can be quite a challenging task.
