- She ran it through her head over and over. She wanted the storyline to run smoothly. She put all of her energy and love into this manga and she hoped deep down that everyone would love it as much as she did.
She closed her eyes and breathed in the scene around her.

“I think it is a wonderful manga, and people are going to love it. Trust me.”

She looked to the side and saw Legosi the Gray Wolf. He was her main character, a concept she had created in her school days as a child. She was imagining him of course, that she knew. Still her heart swelled with pride at the thought of her adolescent dreams coming to life.

“Tell me more.” He smiled upon her. “I want to hear more.”

His stature was big. His personality at times was rather tame but still resonated excitement. Her fear evolved into pride.

She is so happy.

Later that same woman went on to be have her manga win many awards for her work.

This is drawing I did of Paru Itagaki talking to the main protagonist of her ongoing manga Beastars. I thought it was a cute concept of Paru sitting somewhere thinking in her head the whole story of Legosi and the world that is known as Beastars.
