Description
CG Sphere is a really cool Project: you get a template scene with a sphere in it, based on that you can pretty much go nuts... as long as you keep the original background (the grid), camera and stick to the original sphere size.

My fifth submission:
I had to bend the rules slightly for the idea to work (cutting holes into the grid plane).... i hope they dont delete it
I recycled a character i did a while ago for this submission, and went for a tron-like look for the mind-control-thingies.
