Well..... Not sure why she didn't make it in... I had her ready and submitted her before the first acceptance week and continued to submit after each week for review. Got no feedback or rejection, only left hanging and then cut out all together.... Just wish I had had feedback....

Magical Ability: Kiar has the ability to manipulate existing weather patterns.
Limitations:
* She can not create new weather patterns, she can only trigger what conditions are already there.
* She can only effect the weather within a .5 mile radius.
*The size of the storm effects the difficulty and how much power and control it takes her. Easy: Guiding a lightning strike in a rain storm to a set point. Hard: Deflecting and changing the path of a tornado.
*The closer she is to the weather effect the more control she can have. For example it would be easier to control fog around her or a snowfall on a mountain range compared to being at a low point in a valley and trying to control the rain.
*She is not immune to the hazards of the weather. Lightning can still have the potential to kill her if it struck her, she can hold her own against a tornado, and hail hitting her will still be painful. At best she could somewhat guide such things away from her, but with something like hail that would take a lot of concentration to deflect it away.
Magical Aid: Karma -- Karma appears to be some sort of winged feline of unknown gender. Being around the size of a large dog, Karma shows a high level of personality and intelligence. It does have retractable claws and predator teeth and has proven to be quite capable to fly and locate it's own food.

Stands up for people who won't: May it be her friends or someone she believes is right in something but with no back bone, she will step up to give that person a voice and fight for them.

Sensory issues: Certain textures bother her, handling them can freak her out and make her refuse to handle them.
Can't handle being indoors: If you keep her inside for long she become undone. She needs to go outside at least once a day or else she goes stir crazy and can be expected to freak out on people.

History: Being born into a family of 9 there was never any hope of Kiar getting the attention she craved. Her house was crowded and noisy none stop, and she was nothing more then the first daughter of many with her younger siblings demanding most of the attention. The only thing she was capable of doing to stand out was to develop a mouth and an attitude to stand out, something that only had a minor success rate which more often then not just got her in trouble rather then giving her actual results.
She didn't really show any magical abilities until she was around 11 when she was upset. She happened to be outside playing with her siblings in the snow, and one of her brothers started picking on her and made her mad. While she ran off to sulk and glare at him from the distance she pictured all the nasty things she wished would happen to him for picking on him, unknowing that she was actually focusing her magic. When ice pellets started raining down on her brother from merely a nasty little mental wish she had was when she realized there was something special there.
She spent the next several months honing this little secret of hers to get back at her siblings until her parents caught on to what was happening and realized they had a witch in their midst.

They had to wait for a few years before her letter came in offering her acceptance into the academy, an offer that they made her take wither she wanted to or not. Naturally she did want to go since she would be away from a crowded house and have some more freedom, but she was not particularly happy by the fact her parents were basically pushing her out the door. She understood that her leaving would be one less mouth to feed at the time, but she did not appreciate feeling unwanted.
