Another day in dreamland. The sun was shining with a few clouds to block out the harsher rays. There was a warm gentle breeze, the rivers and lakes were just the right temperature. But it had gotten boring. Living in the same perfect world day after day. Ash felt well rested and ready to wake up but for some reason he couldn't. He lay under a tree, thinking of ways to stir himself from slumber. Knock himself out, possibly. Pinching, hadn't work. Falling off a cliff, slight possibility of brain damage or death. Ashton sighed, making out shapes in the clouds above. Square, triangle, ring. His brain felt too relaxed, like it was turning to mush. Maybe revising his lessons would work?
Ash continued to think while unbeknownst to him, a figure watched from the clouds above. They had been watching the meep as he thought (since you're in your own mind, your thoughts become visible or spoken). That must be why his door looked so funny The figure said quietly to themselves. They had never heard of a kitter being stuck in a dream before. Balance kitters could get lost in the dreamscape but they could tell that this meep wasn't affiliated with the element. The balance meep thought quietly as to what to do. Usually its best not to disturb someone's dream but the meep down below seemed aware he was in one. The meep had thought of waking up so maybe they could help him.
Ash watched the clouds above, as well as the figure above. Despite the figure's best attempts, one of their thoughts was visible to the meep below. Ash had overheard some of the supervisors one day, discussing the balance element's powers. This might have been the dreamwalking ability, but in that case, who was the dreamwalker?
Was it another subject being tested, was it one of the scientists observing him? Or, could it be possible that this was a completely different meep? Ash had been told of the outside world but was never allowed to leave.
Both meeps didn't know what to make of the other, unsure of their next actions. Rekoj sat above, pondering possible interactions. Ashton lay below, wondering about the world outside.
Finally, a word floated from the cloud, Hello? Ash gulped but responded Greetings. That's a funny way to say hi. Rekoj thought. Ash smiled at the response, slowly getting up and flying toward the yellow meep.
