I like this style, it's great to see that it is possible. Do you have any vids? I think the wolf looks the best of these.

It's different, but in a way even more realistic. I've actually wanted one of these for the realism.. AND the wonderful area of vision! Man, I can't see squat through the tear ducts on mine..

Great explanations, it's wonderful to read about the concept and reasoning behind keeping the eyes of the wearer! Personally, the idea of keeping the eyes open is one of the features of your work that catches my eye

Thank you for explaining this. I've heard people say that use-your-own-eyes masks are creepy and therefor should never be made, and I just stare at them speechless. Now I have something to direct those sorts of people to next time I encounter someone who says something like that. <3

And these sentiments are exactly why I love your work. Β I don't align with any Furry communities really, it's not my thing, but I do appreciate great costuming. Β All the things listed here are what makes a costume believable, being part of the costume and adding some part of yourself to the character. Β Bravo, and please keep making your great works of art!

I do agree your masks are the final tier in mask quality.
I do agree with the need to use "your own eyes", philosophy with the need to be able to express your self. I don't want to be just a static piece of art showing only one emotion.Β
--->I find many realistic routes are taking the solid eye and look through the tear ducts approach.
Β I have had the opportunity to order a mask from Ragnarek (Larp Mask maker from Russia with a focus on Skaven), with Β use you own eyes option. I will be using it to identify what I am fully looking before I take that final step and order a Magpie Bones mask (if my timing works). I hope to place an order at the next opening (In Summer)Β

I couldn't agree more Lots of fursuits look great in photos, but once you see them in real life they look sort of dead because they only have one expression. Would you ever consider posting video of one of these masks in action? I'd love to see how the concept translates in real life!Β

I bet video would demonstrate all of that in seconds.

I like your style a lot, it's why I watch you. You're probably the first suit maker that I've seen who doesn't use fake eyes and I think it's great. Love the reasoning behind your choices, too. It's quite true. The pictures of people wearing your suits/masks have an immensely more lifelike feel to them than fake-eyed suits. You are super talented and are awesome at what you do. Keep it up!

This is the reason why I will never use those "follow me" eyes in a mask . . . I want to be able to break eye contact with a person, not just stare creepily at them

i totally agree! and some fursuits with plastic/resin or just toony eyes have this very dead animal eyes look to them and is quite scary! and your half masks or larp masks that you call them are even more amazing!

I like the way that you make them so much better- I feel that the fake eyes often look really silly (though there are some really well done ones out there) but I like the idea of using your own eyes much more.
