The common colors of the element are: black, indigo, purple, red, white, and grey. Darkness has an oily and smokey texture, is freezing cold, and siphons the light and heat from all it touches. Darkness is personified by the Primordial God Lo. Darkness is weak against the Light element as any amount of light can repel darkness. Personality traits of Darkness users are: secretive, elusive, emotional numbness, sadism. The first person to master the element was Nocturna Umbras.

Darkness has the ability to inflict feelings of terror and hopelessness. With the power of shadows, you're able to absorb shadows to replenish your energy, jump into shadows, shapeshift, mold formless darkness into any shape you wish, absorb energy, blanket areas in darkness, create voids of pure blackness, become pure intangible shadow, become invisible, invade someone's mind, blind others, and see in the dark more easily.
