Here in a shallow tropical sea which constitutes what is now the Late Cretaceous Maastricht Formation of the Netherlands, a Prognathodon saturator 13 meters long cruises through as two sub-adult Parapuzosia sp. drift away from the giant predator so as to not get clamped down by its huge jaws. Overhead an Apateodus corneti swims away with an Anomoedus fraiponti at the right.paleosir
