Description Here in the early Pliocene of North America a pair of Pliohippus pernix gallop past two Aepycamelus girrafinus, vicuña-like camels with very tall necks which made them 4 metres tall, as tall as grown elephants and young giraffes, and tall enough to reach for the highest of tree branches in a grassland habitat.
