Origin prompt #1: original formLimbo was originally a fox who lived in a Japanese forest, nearby an Inari shrine.
When winter hit hard, the shrine offered a nice place to hide from the cold wind, and so Limbo soon made the shrine his home. The visitors of the shrine got used to the little inhabitant easily, and some even started to see the fox as an actual messenger of the God.
Soon, the visitors didn't bring offerings to the shrine only for the God they worshiped, but also for Limbo, who became the newly appointed guardian of the holy place.
Not only did he receive food, but also love from the people he saw come and go daily. He felt perfectly at peace at his new home that he protected with pride and joy.
