Got a little delayed getting this ref sheet done. These are Mara’s parents: her father Henri and her mother Anastasia. I’m not 100% sure yet if they’ll actually appear in my story/comic I’m planning, but they will appear in at least a couple pictures that Mara and her brother Kanis own.

Their backstory is that they were somewhat wealthy merchants that were lost at sea when Mara was young, so her older brother Kanis sort of had to take on the role of parent by himself. I’ve drawn both parents as their younger selves and their older, disheveled selves years after being shipwrecked. As you can see Henri lost a leg at some point and Anastasia’s got a few scars.
