Description
Be sure to check out my "Easy" bird tutorial as well: [link] :3Edit: Thanks for the info: depending on your oven, you might be setting the temp. to 130 degrees celcius (which is the equivalence to 275 farenhait).
A few people have been requesting a tutorial for my clay stuff: [link] , so I decided to make one while I was home from college (and within reach of an oven! ^^).
Thanks to everyone for all the favs and comments on my cosplay stuff! They motivated me to make this tutorial.
Time to make this bird: 2-3 hours
This bird was given to my Tobi....because being Tobi means you get free stuff from Deidara ^^
Deidara and his clay creations are owned by himself and Kishimoto-sensei.

You have just saved me so much time I would've wasted trying to figure out how to make one of those birds @_@ I think I'll stick to my trusty, light-weight air-dry material though instead of clay x3;
*faves*

using clay does take a lot of patience. (and it's more work with the painting and stuff. I might try making some of these with model magic sometime in the future and see how it turns out....but I've never used model magic before, so my first one might come out really bad XD_

I fail at using clay
I've never used model magic before. I use some other thing that comes in a white bag with a moon on it that cost like $5 for this sorta small-ish bag full of air-dry clay-material-stuff. I used it to make my Dei eye scope and it's suprisingly really (and I mean REALLY) light-weight. And it starts drying the minute you open it up so you have to work really, really fast....I didn't have water on hand to slow the drying process....so I used saliva x3;

If I participate in the artist's alley at future anime conventions, I might sell some, but they take so much time to make O.O
well, the smaller birds take a lot less time, so maybe i'd make both, but the bigger ones would cost more.

But if you make, 20 heads and 20 bodies at the same time, wouldn't that be much faster?? >w<

But the mass porduction may take the fun out of it so it because you would be doing it over and over so you might not want to do it all at once.
