This is to Update Manager what USC is to Synaptic; there's really no need for technical info as the people who need it could just use the technical app.
I'd love to see this be developed by someone though; it fits perfectly into the elementary vision, and realistically I wouldn't expect it to be *that* difficult to actually create.

Yeah, updates like "blahblah-i-dont-know-whats-that-mean.ext" should be invisible for users, but important updates like applications cores - visible. Nice idea
