Woah! i love the sonic games... but once sonic got his voice, he got a personality. one i didn't really like..
so, when shadow was in his first game, he became my faveorite, this pic is so cool! in my opinion, this is a reallly good compliment: You make sonic look AWESOME. shadow better though.

Your first deviation is certainly one of the best.
You made Shadow and Sonic look human, but their characters are still visible in their expressions ^^ Many artists lose that when humanizing Sonic.
Shadow is very brilliant in the way you made him. He has his thoughts and is very serius, and his face is very likeable. You made his hair look very authentic, and his subtle highlights really show that this is shadow ^^ I love your shading style, it is very effective on their faces.
Sonic looks very cool and happy, yet ready to take action. His hair makes me want to get blue highlights! 
You made their clothes really nice, it fits them both.

In a way when i first looked at this i thought it was like Serge and Dark Serge then i read the title and it said Humanization and it was Sonic and Shadow. ^.^ I think you did a good job on the coloring and i love the face expressions keep up the awesome work ^.^

They're very realistic. Their facial expressions match the mobians quite well. The cocky, happy Sonic, and the deep thinking Shadow. *nod nod* *thumbs up* Awesome!
