Painter is tricky application... I had to add some effects by using Photoshop.So the result isn't what I expected.
Anyway, I submit this to ask for criticism.

The highlight on his body is very natural, but the bullet or flash burst of the gun itself I think may be slightly off.. I mean you made the background vauge with a nice mix of colour. And it works.
But I can't take my eye off that bullet XD

Admittedly, while the gun seemed a bit over the top, and the execution wasn't as good as it should've been, Shadow with firearms is ALWAYS awesome...at least awesome looking. Especially when YOU do it. Great job!
We have Painter in our school, however, we haven't used it for drawing yet.

Hey, that's definitely a lot better than I managed in Painter. I was only able to do one picture and that ended up in scraps because I couldn't apply the color in the way I wanted. ;-;
I still haven't a clue how to use the program much, even with looking at tutorials, so I think that you managed to get it to work for you and your style fairly well - a lot of your stuff is either PaintBBS or a watercolor splash courtesy of ShiPainterBBS, so I think you should give yourself a pat on the back for having it translate so well with this program.

Regardless of what program you used, this still looks very nice. Although I can't quite put my finger on it, but it doesn't seem right... Of course the colors are awesome, and Shadows pose is very nice as well.

Now, I've never used painter before. I'd say, perhaps have him saying something intimidating, or maybe flush out a background.
I love what's there, a little more could push it over the edge.

I really like how you drew Shadow in this.
I can't really see what needs to be improved. But maybe the shading could be darker (especially on the gun)? That's probably just me though, it seems too soft in some parts (in my opinion).

I think I should have given more contrast between light and shade to it.
As for the gun, I had to refer a material to draw that more correctly.

Yeah, Painter is hard! I've been mostly using it for my lineart. I'd like to learn how to use the other tools, though. You're doing great, better than what I can do.

High-end of Wacom plus Painter series is the best couple I've heard, but the adjustment is very hard.
Painter5.x suppose to be most stable version, so Painter classic that is based on ver.5 is easy to use despite a crippleware.

Is there some remote way you can post a 'How to Draw Shadow' tutorial? I've been trying lately and wanted to do some Riders/StH/Super Shadow fanart, but I can never get his head even remotely in preportion ><
