wooop! a character pinup with no backround what so ever!
You know, most of my characters are based on real people I either know personally or have seen on the street or something-- but this character came from a Deviant! This guy--> [link] I dunno-- he reminds me of someone from my childhood... He's cool :')

Storyline behind Aquarius? Okay.
This guy comes from the same project as Mallark does. A young hawker (pirate-like people who sail large ships through the clouds) at the age of 7 named Cygnus (after the 'swan' constallation) was known to become something of a legend amoung hawkers. This kid knew the mechanics of anything . He was also the last known hawker to have wings instead of a tail. People beleived that Cygnus would beable to convince the world that hawkers were not at all like pirates (as pirates set out to brutalize people, and hawkers just wanted to sell their rare goods). Hawkers were sick of being outlawed for no reason. Too bad for them-- one day, they lost their precious prodigy. They didn't know where he went and could not find him. He was declaired dead.
What really happened was that Cygnus did not like being dubbed, "The Prodigy". He wanted to get away from all the stories that were false to him. He ran off and lived with a good friend he considered to be his cousin, Leo. He since changed his name to Aquarius, a non hawker name, and took up a career in mechanics. He also had to give up flying (as much as that pained him), and hid his wings. By his 20th year, he witnessed a tragic crash of a hawker ship-- and managed to salvage Mallark while still in hiding-- oooooh!

and cell shading seems to be harder than my normal way of coloring-- but it is really fun and addictive :0!!
