And what about when Israel isn't actually "defending" but just engaging in more oppression and mass murder while the government politicians tell lies about the reasons?

It is difficult for people to see the flaws in their own society and even more difficult to arrive at the truth that their own people are the cause of much of their suffering. When peace is defined not by a mutual understanding but by the elimination of your opponents ability to resist or by their elimination altogether, then there will be only war and conflict. Their is no final peace where either side stands triumphant astride Palestine in a new golden age. Instead of fighting each other, the Israelis and Palestinians should be more concerned about those around them who choose to prolong the conflict. It is in the interest of the other Mid East countries to drag this out for as long as possible. Israel is a great asset to them. It provides a great excuse for the continued repression of their own people and a convenient outlet of frustration, or in the case of Turkey a great way to become a leader of the "Islamic world". Both are being used by everyone else including the West. Of course this is all from the prospective of an outsider.

Yeah, compared to the 6+ billion Jews killed during the Holocaust, the treatment of Jews at the hands of Arabs and Christians over the last century. Totally justifies Palestine using their own children as human shields and demanding every Jew be exterminated.

Funny that you're unaware of the major deals and cooperation that went on between the Nazi leaders and the Zionist leaders. Yet, you'll defend the Zionists even despite that they made deals with the Nazis and organised the terrorising of other Jews in order to scare them into moving to Israel.

I'm honestly surprised that you never read of it before.... Did you bother to search about it? Probably not. Perhaps you went around with filters on, dismissing all of those news articles, books, scholars, who went against the Israeli Zionist official line.
You can lead a horse to water, but you can't make him drink it. Especially when they've been bamboozled and tricked into disregarding anything which does not fit with the daily brainwashing dished out every day.
Don't take it too hard, I was shocked too when I began to learn what was behind the curtain of bullshit we are shown all the time in the mainstream corporate news, entertainment, and in school textbooks.
Moses Hess coined the term National Socialism, commonly shortened to Nazism, which he intended to use for Jewish nationalism - in 1862.
Nazi-Zionist Collaboration (PDF) - by Jews Against Zionism and Anti-Semitism,
Melbourne, Australia.
Published in Britain by BAZO-Palestine Solidarity and AZAN
(Anti-Zionists Against the Nazis) in co-operation with JAZA (Jews
Against Zionism and Anti-Semitism) in Australia
In the 1930s in the USA, the ADL solicited huge donations in order to oppose the American Nazi Party, which at the time was a very small organization that managed to gain a lot of media attention (now I wonder why) Then it came out that the leader of the American Nazi Party was arrested for embezzling from his sponsor ... which was the ADL
Also, in the 1930s, Cyrus Adler, president of the American Jewish Committee, co-ordinated the activities of the B'nai B'rith and The New York Times in order to obstruct/delay any American political measures against Hitler.
Some of the forms of Zionist collaboration (for profit) with the Nazis when European Jews came to Palestine. It's in the section titled "Collaboration with Nazism" about half way down on this page;
www.inminds.co.uk/jews-againstβ¦
Jewish Professor of History Dietrich Bronder showed in his book "Bevor Hitler kam" ("Before Hitler", Geneva, 1975), which Jews financed Adolf Hitler. He also revealed that most of the Nazi leadership were Jews or half-Jews, or were married to Jewish women. Among them the head of the SS Heinrich Himmler, Walter Frenz, Wilhelm Canaris (the head of the Abwehr), Alfred Rosenberg (who developed the national socialist ideology using as models the Talmud and Bulwer-Lytton's "The Coming Race" (1871)), and Joseph Goebbels. Adolf Eichmann and Labour Minister Robert Ley were Jews, as were the SS generals Erich von dem Bach-Zelewski (1899-1972) and Odilo Globocnik (1904-1945). Goring's right hand, Field Marshal Erhard Milch was half Jewish, according to Time Magazine (7 February 1972), but his mother was Jewish. The head of the SD Reinhard Heydrich was Jewish on his mother's side, his father (Bruno Ziiss) was also Jewish
Author Lenni Brenner published a book in 2002 entitled "51 documents: Zionist collaboration with the Nazis". The book is a collection of actual historical documents which show the close working relationship that so-called "Zionists" enjoyed with leading figures in the Nazi party during WW-2.
The Nazis and the Zionists had a common interest to frighten European Jews to emigrate to Palestine. The leading Zionist organizations in this close co-operation were Lohamei Harut Israel (later infamously known as the Stern Gang) and Irgun Zvai Leumi. Among the leaders were also Yitzhak Shamir and Menachem Begin, who later both became Israeli prime ministers.
Hundreds of thousands of Jews were terrorised by Zionists carrying out false flag bombings on synagogues, and other Zionist instigation of violence against other Jews.... That came out ages ago, it's historical fact. All so that real Jews would be conned into going to Israel, which the Zionist leadership planned to use as their very own little oligarchic dictatorship with a faked appearance of democracy. Zionists and Nazis were collaborators in trying to convince Jews to move to Israel; they were like wings of the same bird.
Zionist leaders lied to the Jews, tricked them, and used them for their own ends.
Perhaps this explains why racism, torture, mass slaughter, and bloodthirsty policies are such a major parts of Israeli government thinking and Israeli leadership. The Zionist leaders are Nazis with just a different name and different clothing, but their attitudes are the same. The Jews of Israel who have been brainwashed for generations to think as the Zionist leaders want them to think, are the foolish cannon fodder of someone else's plans. They've been used, lied to, and are still being lied to. Their children have gone through school to be taught the same racist brutal ideals.

I don't think it's right to say that all Islamic people are in favor of Hitlers regime. Also, I think much of Jewish hatred comes from what Israel does. They're holding Jews responsible for the actions of Israeli Government.
The people living in Palestine (That Israel considers as it's citizens) have the power to keep their government in check, just like we all need to.

It's true that I don't live where there are rockets being fired, but if I were in Israel, I wouldn't be too worried.
A Qassam Rocket rocket doesn't have a guidance system, so I've never heard of them killing anybody.
I did some research on my blog here: Link Another way of looking at it: Both sides of Gaza conflict As for the UN, the point is that they themselves have said that Israel has attacked Hospitals:1919. you will still not allow it as a country that a neighbouring country that took the way of terror will keep shooting rockets at your citizens, good or bad rockets... we had casualties, the people near gaza are suffering 8 years if not more of morar and rockets being fire at them. its an un acceptable situation by any country.
also you know full well that any other country such as russia or united states or even britian who are one of our igggest criticisers didnt mind bombing the german population in ww2, wouldnt suffer this situation and would wipe gaza to dust, without the world saying anything...
for example of the terrorists weapons are russian made... does anybody say anything about it? no because this whole world is a fucking hypocrite. all the arab countries hate israel just to have some one to blame for, for their bad regime... its not for nothing that all the arab countries are suffering revolutions now... its because their regimes suck and dont give a shit about the population... just like hammas.

But I don't see how bombing Gaza helps those living in Palestine as whole.
It would appear that the IDF are exterminating Gaza civilians, eliminating all potential threats without any regard for human life. Killing all of those who will not or cannot leave Palestine.
This is called ethnic cleansing.
You once said that people "will keep dying if they keep chosing terrorist organization as their leadership".
I have testimonies that suggest the State of Israel supported Hamas in the past.βTwo decades after the occupation of the West Bank and Gaza in 1967, Israel supported the Palestinian branch of the Muslim Brotherhood and itβs offshoot Hamas in Gaza as a counterweight to the nationalist (PLO)."
"This reached the point where the Israeli military occupation encouraged Brotherhood thugs to intimidate PLO supportersβ
~ Rashid Khalidi - The Iron Cage: The Story of the Palestinian Struggle for Statehood
From: Counter Currents.org Israel βaided Hamas directly β the Israelis wanted to use it as a counterbalance to the PLO (Palestinian Liberation Organization),β said Tony Cordesman, Middle East analyst for the Center for Strategic Studies

From: UPI - Business News - Security Industry/ Analysis: Hamas History tied to Israel
~ by Richard Sale, UPI Terrorism Correspondent (June 18, 2002 at 8:13 pm)Could it be said that the intention was to have Hamas attack members of the PLO, so they wouldn't attack Israel?
But what are the chances that the leadership of Israel wanted Hamas or others to attack?
From a business perspective, this allows them to expand ownership of their Palestine territories,
which are worth more than the damage being done in the territories they already control.
When you have the IDF attacking Hospitals, you can expect some people to fight back.
But then you could then say that those people are members of Hamas, using them as an excuse to attack again.
What do you think?

i think that none of the civilian in both sides want this war. maybe its the goverment, but probably not. at least our goverment doesnt call for the extermination of every living arab such as the hammas "constitution" does for jews.
hammas is shooting from dence civilian population, there are videos of it, there are foreign reporters saying that during the war hammas threatened them if they tell the truth about it... the israeli army all it can to avoid killing civilians, but when hammas plays so dirty... there will be casualties, in the side, that chose hammas as their goverment in the first place.
bottom line, nobody wants war. xcept for a minority of israelies and palestinians... its all political and religous stupid games.

This goes out to my international friends on Facebook, or at least those of you that haven't placed me on "hide" after all of my Hebrew statuses. I know this post is long - as you know I am a tedious person - and you can opt to read it in its entirety or skip to the final two paragraphs.
You probably read about the current escalation in the Israeli / Gazan conflict or heard about it. Some of yourΒ friends may have a strong opinion about it. I assume that most of the descriptions you have read, in the media or social media, depicted the Palestinian side of the story more than they did the Israeli side. Most of the opinions you heard probably supported the Gazan narrative.Β
I will begin by saying this - criticizing Israel is perfectly fine. I do it on a daily basis. For one, I think the Israeli blockade on Gaza is disproportionate and I think it hurts human rights. B-U-T - and as you guessed, that is the point of my post - I think Israel is not in the wrong in this current escalation. If any of my factual points in this post seem suspicious to you, I urge you to Google them up and correct me if I'm wrong.
Gaza has been governed by the terror organization Hamas for the past eight years. Hamas was elected democratically by the people of Gaza but soon seized totalitarian control over the Gaza Strip, ousting the opposition party Fatah and murdering hundreds of opposition party members. There have been no democratic elections in Gaza since 2006, and Hamas takes all important decisions in the internal affairs of the Gaza Strip. This has nothing to do with Israel.
Most claims I hear against Israel have to do with the current humanitarian state in Gaza, and with the disproportional force that Israel takes in the name of self defense. I'll shortly summarize my counter arguments against these two claims.
The humanitarian status of Gaza is terrible. People are poor and so is the civil infrastructure. This is despite the fact that billions of Euros are donated to Gaza on an annual basis, including by your own government. One of the reasons why this money is not invested in the people of Gaza is Hamas' political decisions. Hamas prefers to invest money in military causes in order to fight the Zionists (Israel). Note this - Hamas PREFERS to keep the humanitarian state in Gaza poor in order to receive more international funding, and use it to fund its violent resistance to the Israeli occupation. When violent struggle against Israel is more important to the government of Gaza than its own citizens' welfare, don't be surprised if Gaza will remain poor even 50 years from now, and even with billions more Euros invested in it. Is Israel also at fault? I think so. Is Hamas to be blamed even more? Certainly.
But Hamas doesn't only prefer to keep its citizens poor. Hamas prefers its citizens dead. This is a terrible thing to say, and I feel guilty just by writing such a sentence. But what other description would you give a regime that asks its own citizens to stand on rooftops of buildings to prevent Israeli bombers from striking them? Or a regime that calls for its citizens to remain in areas that the IDF specifically warned it will bomb? I keep hearing that Israel has killed so-and-so more Palestinians than vice versa. This is factually true, and understandable when you consider the might of the Israeli army and its technological advantage. But when you read such a statistic as '2000 destinations bombed in Gaza, 240 Palestinians dead', don't you wonder how come there are so few casualties, relatively to the scope of bombing? You should. This is because Israel does everything to prevent Gazans from being killed. In a way, Israel cares more about Gazan lives than Hamas. Israel spreads leaflets, makes phone calls and warns Palestinian citizens in various other ways so to prevent them from being hurt.
During this escalation, thousands of rockets were fired at Israel. In fact, I had to run to a shelter during the writing of this very post as the alarm went off. All of these rockets are aimed at civilians. So far they have not caused great damage thanks to Israel's Iron Dome. The fact that they did not cause great damage is fortunate, but it cannot justify a clear attempt to kill civilians. Make no mistake - every rocket that is fired from the Gaza Strip is fired with the goal of killing innocent people. These rockets are, remarkably, hidden in hospitals, private houses and schools, as UNRWA (which you cannot suspect for supporting Israeli claims) published today. In addition, Hamas has sent armed combatants to Israeli territory in an attempt to massacre Israeli citizens. Israel thwarted these attempts.
Israel is fighting against an terror organization willing to sacrifice its own people for the goal of killing Israeli citizens. Fortunately, it has failed so far in this current escalation. Still, Israel cannot allow Hamas to keep trying. Israel is far from perfect, but this can be said clearly - Israel's goal has NEVER been to kill any Palestinian. Hamas goals have ALWAYS included killing Israeli citizens. During this conflict, Egypt has twice suggested a cease-fire. Israel has agreed and even unilaterally ceased fire, but Hamas chose to continue the violent conflict because the terms of the cease-fire did not fit its goals. A regime that truly wants its citizens to stop suffering cannot turn down a cease-fire against a much more powerful opponent. But Hamas does not want its citizens to stop suffering - quite the contrary. Think about it.
If you think you have not heard enough opinions like mine on the media or social media, please share this post. If I made even one claim that you think is interesting and is not debated enough, please share this post. Remember - criticizing Israeli is just fine. Israel has made and will make mistakes. But it is fighting a vicious terror organization willing to let the people it governs suffer. Such a fight cannot go without tragedies.

stupid asshole. israel atacks in the gaza strip because Hammas started shooting rockets.
i live in israel and i know whats going on in here without the television. i have friends serving in the military. asshole. i think i know a little better than you.
more than that. those atacks occur after:
1- israel phonecalls all of the citizens which are known to live in that area telling them to go because they are about to bomb a hidden stash of rockets (which is used to harm innocent israeli civilians)
2- they send fliers throgh the air.
3- they shoot a small explosive to let them know we are serious.
what Hammas does? good youre asking:
threatning them to stay at their homes no matter what. (As you can see in the foxnews reporter link- she explains it pretty well for ignorants such as you apeman)
the Hammas uses explosive donkeys (yes harming animals in the name of their imaginary friend Allah)
sends suicide bombers disguised as old man and women.
and later on they are furious about the treatment that everybody gets in the border. including old man, woman, and children. because you never know who has a bomb belt on themselves.
we are worse than animals?Β

.youtube.com/watch?v=9g6UsYGCB2g brainwashing their children- chosing a terrorist organization as the leadership of your country- support terror instead of developiong the area you live in, hide wapons under hospitals and kindergardens- shooting rockets on israeli civilians near kindergardens and hospitals and dence population around. so much more to write here i can stay here all day typing but i guess you get the message.... stop being fed by your country media- not all you see is what happens....
have fun- i can look for more videos if you want....
