Description The weather outside the window was gorgeous; every inch of surface was covered in snow.  The sky was a dull grey color that casted the world outside in a soft glow from the sun as it struggled to peek through the clouds.  Joslin couldn't help the smile that spread across her face as she stared in awe.  It had never snowed in L.A. and any snow she'd seen since moving to Germany had never been like this.

Her fingers itched to bury themselves deep in the white substance.  Only common sense stopped her from running out there in her pajamas and lying down to make a snow angel.  She knew that if she got sick Ame would never let her live it down.  Instead she turned away from the window and looked toward the stairs that lead up.

The house was quiet, Ame and Bill had gone to hang with Georg and when the weather had started to get bad they called to let Tom and her know that they and the babies would be crashing with Georg till it was safe to drive.  That meant that she and Tom had all of day and probably tomorrow to themselves.  Glancing at the clock, which read ten forty-three, she debated waking him just yet.  Anything before twelve o'clock Tom considered early. Shrugging her shoulders she decided she didn't care, he was getting up anyway.

Joslin skipped back into their bedroom, grinning at the sight of Tom sprawled out across the bed, a pillow over his faced to block out the morning sunrise.  She crossed the room quietly, crawling up beside him on the bed.  As she watched him sleep she shook her head, she'd never thought she'd find herself like this…not in a million years.

"Tom…" she gave him a small nudge.

"Mmm," he mumbled, shifting a bit before going still.

"Tomi," She repeated kissing his shoulder lightly.

"Yeah babe," his muffled voice came from under the pillow.

"Did you see the snow outside?" Joss asked him excitedly.

"So,"

"So," Joss rolled her eyes, "So it's beautiful.  It never snowed in L.A…this is the first time I've ever seen this much snow at one time."

"I hate the snow," Tom growled.

"Will you go outside with me?" she questioned.

"Why in the hell do you want to go outside?" Tom finally removed the pillow to look at her.

She sat up beside him, crossing her legs as she snuggled deeper into his jacket she'd picked up off the chair earlier. "Because I want to play in the snow," she smiled.

"And that concerns me how?" Tom asked.

"Well…I don't want to go out by myself." She stated.

"Let me say this again…I…hate…the…snow." He rolled back over on his side.

Joslin sat for a moment before giving him hard punch in the arm. "Shit head."

"Fuck…what was that for?" He rubbed his shoulder where her fist made contact.

"For being such a douche bag," Joslin replied. "I went to that last signing because you asked and you can't get your lazy ass up for a few hours for me…thanks."

She stormed to the closet, gathering the cloths she was going to wear and slammed the bedroom door closed behind her.  He turned to stare at the door, "Shit," he muttered.

Joslin got dressed before making her way down to the kitchen to find her something for breakfast.  Fruit, cereal, or toast seemed the quickest of her choices.  Deciding on toast and a cup of hot chocolate she sat herself down at the dining room table to eat.  Once finished she put away her dishes and slid on her coat and gloves before stepping out into the cold.  Her breath came out in small white puffs as she looked around at the small winter wonderland that was their back yard.  The snow continued to come down steadily, collecting against her black hair and her coat. She stepped out into the middle of the yard to look up at the sky.  Smiling she stuck out her tongue to catch the snowflakes as they fell from above.

Inside Tom watched from their bedroom window as she stood with her tongue stuck out. "Studge," he chuckled to himself as he watched her.

He couldn't help but laugh at her, even when it made her mad.  Joslin was such a child at heart it was hard not to laugh at the things she did.  Tom turned away from the window dressing before heading down stair.  He crept to the patio doors and stood still.  At first he couldn't spot her, then movement on the ground to his left revealed her lying on her back making what appeared to Tom to be a snow angel.  Sighing he went to the closet and collected his coat.  He couldn't understand how he was so whipped but it had happened.

Regardless of what the G's or his brother thought he thoroughly enjoyed being wrapped around her small finger, as tight as she liked it.  She was worth the headaches she gave him at times.  He could never remember feeling this close to anyone…all except his brother.  That's how he knew Joslin was different from all the other girls, even before they had started dating.  He'd screwed up in the beginning, he'd panicked when he realized just how important she really was.  He hadn't known what to do…so he'd fled, the very last thing he should have done.  He'd never wanted to share his secrets with anyone else but Bill until she came along…after that he knew he had to get her back.

He stepped out into the cold air, shivering slightly as he approached her.  She was standing again, sideway to where he stood, face turned upward toward the sky.  To him there was no one more beautiful than her, her smile and laughter was like a drug to him.  He could never get enough of her, yet it seemed impossible for him not to screw up from time to time.  As hard as he tried, he never seemed to know what the right thing to do was and as much as it drove him crazy he wouldn't trade any of it for anything.

"Taste good," he questioned.

"Better than you," she looked at him, "And the best part is I don't even have to work to get it."

He raised an eyebrow at her perverse comment, a smirk on his lips. "Really," he breathed.

"Yep," she nodded before she turned her back to him. "Thought you hated the snow,"

"I do, I just didn't think it was safe for you to be alone…you tend to be quiet clumsy." He replied.

"Piss off," she turned to glare. "If you're just going to be an ass go back inside."

"Fine," he turned and head back to the patio door.

She scooped a handful of snow up and piled it into a ball before chucking it at him.  The snow made contact with the back of his head causing him to stop dead in his tracks.  He immediately turned to face her, his face stern.

"What the fuck Joslin," he fumed.

"That's for being such an ass," she crossed her arms.

"God could you act anymore like a five year old." He snapped, "You're so fucking frustrating sometimes."

"Really," Joslin stormed past him, "Well I'm sorry I'm such a bother, I didn't realize wanting to spend time with you was such a problem."

"You wouldn't be so bad if you didn't aggravate all the time." He said.

"You're the one who acts like the smallest of requests are a fucking conquest.  I asked you to come out here with me for a little while." She glared.

"And I told you I hate the snow." Tom replied.

"And I hate watching all those girls pawing over you at the signings but I go anyway…because you ask me." Joslin snapped.

"Then don't go anymore." Tom snapped back.

"I won't then, and you'll have no worries of me seeing you eyeing all those pretty girls." Joslin shouted.

"Fuck you Joslin, at least they never whined when I was around them." He growled.

"No they just took what they wanted and left you alone…alone Tom…because those fans you slept with didn't want you…they wanted the image of you….the body, the ability to brag that they had used you…just like you used them." Joslin began to cry, "I guess maybe I should have done that to, it would never have given you the ability to walk out on me."

"Babe," he sighed.

"Save it Tom, I don't want to be a burden to you." Joslin pulled open the patio door. "I'm going to go take a shower."

Tom watched her entered the house, her face red, and her head low.  He kicked the side of the house in frustration.  Could he be any more of a dick?  What the fuck was his problem, why couldn't he let her be happy?  Why did he always have to fuck things up?  All she wanted was to spend time with him, like he wanted when he had to leave.  He hated being without her, that's why he asked her to go with him all the time.  He'd never once thought of how the picture looked from Joslin's point of view, never thought how much all those fan girls bothered her.

He kicked the snow off his shoes before heading back inside.  He abandoned his jacket and his shoes at the door, just as Joslin did.  He didn't follow up the stairs where he knew she would be, she needed her space and he needed time to think.  He flipped open his phone as he leaned against the kitchen island.  He hit the three, speed dialing Ame.  After four rings, she answered.

"Hey Tom," she said, laughter in her voice.

"Ame," Tom said.

"Yeah," she asked.

"I need some advice," Tom replied, "I screwed up…again, and I don't know how to fix it."

He could hear the cries of a baby and could picture Ame rocking one of the twins, as she held the phone. "What did you do now," a frown was in her voice.

He explained everything from being woke up by Joslin, to the argument they'd had moments ago outside, when he was done he waited to be chewed out, but all he got was a sigh.

"What am I going to do with you guys," Ame asked. "You and Bill are going to be the death of me one day."

"Yeah," he sighed.

"Look, you all don't seem to realize how important it is to us to spend time with you guys…alone." Ame explained. "And taking us along on the trips doesn't count.  Watching a bunch of girls paw all over you is sickening sometimes because those girls are so…skanky.  Isn't that right Fred…I meant would it have killed uncle Tom to go outside with her…No Tom, it wouldn't have."

"Yeah, yeah, yeah rub it in my face," Tom huffed.

"So your calling me in hopes I can give you some advice on how to fix this," Ame stated.

"Sort of," he mumbled.

He heard a heavy sigh from the other end of the phone and the mumble of his twin's voice in the back ground.  Ame replied to quiet for Tom to hear only to hear his brother swear at him.

"Hey, you're in hot water yourself so I don't want to hear it." Ame said sharply. "Okay, so what do you think I could possibly tell you that would help?"

"I just need a hint to what I could do to make her realize that I…."

"Really do want to spend time with just her?" Ame finished.

"Yeah," Tom sighed.

"Okay look, the littlest things can mean to world to someone," Ame replied. "You don't have to buy something for someone for it to be special, it could be something as simple as running a bath, or sharing blanket…hell fixing supper or reminiscing on your past, telling secrets you've never told anyone….the little things can mean more than something store bought."

Tom was silent for a moment, and then a thought struck him. "Ame don't tell anyone I told you this…but you're amazing."

"I try-" she began but was cut off by him closing his phone. "Love you to Tom," she rolled her eyes as she stuck her phone in her pocket.

Checking to make sure the shower was still running Tom quickly pulled his coat and shoes back on, grabbed a large bowl from the cupboard, before heading back out into the cold back yard.  It was quiet now, whereas on a normal day the streets would be fairly busy with the traffic of the lives that lived around them.  He went toward the back where the snow was piled the highest and scooped it up into the bowl.  He cursed lightly at the freezing temperature and his stupidity for not grabbing gloves.  He hurried back in the house and quickly made his way to the kitchen.

The upstairs was quiet which told him that Joss was out of the shower.  He sat the snow in the freezer and quickly dialed his mother's number.

"Hey baby," her voice came.

"Hey mom, how you doing?" Tom asked her.

"I'm good, just doing a bit of Christmas wrapping since we're all snowed in." He could hear the smile in her voice. "How about yourself?"

"I need a bit of help," he rubbed the back of his neck. "Me and Joslin got into a fight, which was all my fault and I'm trying to make it up to her."

"What do you need?" She asked.

He smiled, his mother's voice held no accusation, just love and adoration.  She was never one to get too furious over much, save the hardships in their pasts, but instead of freaking out if he or Bill had screwed up, she sat them down and explained what should be done.

"I was wondering if you could tell me how to make the ice cream with the snow you use to make when we were still at home." He asked her.

"Snow Cream, I sure can, it's quite simple really, you got a scrap of paper and a pen?"

"Just a second," he went to the fridge where a small cup sat on the counter where the pencils and pens were kept before grabbing a paper for grocery lists, "Yeah."

"How much are you making?" she asked.

"Two bowls for now," Tom replied.

"Put that amount of snow in a bowl and then add 1 ½ teaspoons of vanilla, 2 cups of sugar, and a ½ a cup of milk.  If it tastes a little off add a bit more of whatever you think is needed." She said slow enough for him to jot down.

"Okay," he nodded, "Thanks mom, you're a life saver."

"I love you baby, and I'm sure it'll work it's self out." Simone replied.

"I love you too, bye." He hung up.

He quickly began to put together the ingredients following his mother directions perfectly.  He tasted a bit, added a bit more sugar, and it was done.  He dipped the Snow cream into two bowls and grabbing two spoons he made his way upstairs, hoping she hadn't locked the door.

To his relief the door was not only unlocked but slightly ajar, which meant he wouldn't have to stand in the hall and persuade her to let him in…which could literally take hours.  Pushing the door farther open with his toe he stepped inside.  Joslin stood in the door way of the bathroom, running the towel in her hair.  She froze at the sight of him and the frown on her face grew sterner.

"What do you want?" she growled.

"I wanted to apologize for beings such a dick head," he mumbled.

"Really," she looked skeptic.

"I never really looked at it as you having to watch them girls paw on us." Tom sighed. "When I invited you to go it was so that I could see you, even when I was working, so you wouldn't have to sit alone or whatever."

Her frown softened a bit. "So how are you apologizing?"

He kicked the door closed behind him as he moved toward her, bowls still in hand. "I made us something my mom use to make me and Bill when we all got snowed in."

"What is it," she asked taking one of the bowls she offered him.

"Snow Cream," Tom replied as they sat on the bed.

"Snow…cream…" she repeated.

"Yeah I went out and got some snow and you mix a bit of sugar, milk, and vanilla with it." Tom replied taking a bite.

"You went back out side….but you hate the snow." Joslin looked from the bowl to him.

"Your worth trudging through the fucking North Pole," he lowered his eyes.

She stared for a moment, then a smile spread across her face, "Tom Kaulitz…was that a compliment that just came out of your mouth?"

"Look, I don't invite you to the signing to annoy you…I do it so I can be with you all the time.  So we can hang out." He said again, "I didn't think that it bothered you because I've already told you a billion times, that my past…is my past…and that I love you too much to ever cheat on you."

She took a bite, "It's delicious….and I love you too Tom…no matter how stupid you can act sometimes."

They finished the cream in a relaxed silence.  Taking their bowls Tom sat them on the bed side table and pulling her further on to the bed.  He wrapped his arms around her, placing a gentle kiss on her temple as they lay quietly together.  Joslin tightened her grip around his waist letting her head laid on his chest.

"Thanks Tom," she smiled up at him.

"Your Welcome," he replied before kissing her.
