He looked pretty down, he was rubbing his face with his hands, and then he rested his head on his hands. I was walking by, I saw this, and *snap* He looked up a split second after I snapped him

The composition is great. I like the contrast in here as well, and that wonderful figure in the back creates a sense of uneasiness. Nice street photo; I like a lot of the lines and geometry in this.

I was very lucky to catch this photo. I was walking by, saw this guy and just snapped it. The composition was luck, but that's the fun of it.
I actually didn't see that guy in the back until after I took the picture. I wasn't sure if he would ruin it or not, but I like him there.

Great emotive portrait Jenna, next time try shooting from the hip down low as to get a close up shot without letting them know, you can get some nice results.

Thanks for the tip....I tried that for a couple walking down the street, they saw me though, hehe. The picture didn't end up comming out -_- ;
Maybe when it gets warmer we can travel into the city with a few people and do some street photography

It's not against the law to take pics of "public behavior". I learned that in a research class. The problem is that strangers don't know that and then they tend to get a little agressive when Youre snapping pics of their "bad day".... I really think this is an awesome shot and love how the man's surroundings really play into the emotion of it. Talk about pictures being worth a thousand words! This is a great example of that!

I took it somewhere in New York. We went all over the place that day, and I honestly don't remember where the hell that was. New York or any big city...ideal place for street photography.

It depends on where you go. Actually...it's a mix. No matter where you go in the city, there will be people sitting alone on the street, garbage all over the place.
I love the New York, though. I love all the people, and the lights at night.
I guess it all just depends on your view. You know...the "half full half empty" thing.

hehe. Great shot, of course. I can see a lot in this photo...it depicts a great deal, even if it's a candid and isn't meant to describe any kinds of emotion. Nevertheless, it can be interpreted that way...I see a lot of exhausted defeat. But nice photograph.

It is a candid shot, but it does show a lot of emotion...even if that guy was just tired 
We'll never know...that's what I like about street photography
