A running joke in Scouts during a summer camp.

First it started that I was really a mermaid (as this was a canoeing camp) and that I'd turn into a mermaid whenever I ate fish and was exposed to water.

Then came the joke that I was also a werewolf because most of the camp was spent with full moonlit nights.

And so the "Merwolf" concept was born! Because if I was a "Weremaid" then I would technically still be human (which is no fun).
