Description
I just found out that my Fractal Wasp Troll image was one of the 25 selected for Benoit Mandelbrot Fractal Art Exhibition 2011. www.fractalartcontests.com/201…He also won fractalforums.com:s annual fractal art contest 2011 for me: www.fractalforums.com/fractalf…
Almost scared myself when he popped out from the DOF in Photoshop... Do not dare to zoom any closer...
As I said before, this is a unrestrained crazy mix of bulbs and boxes but I guess this chaos is needed to create these kind of "real world" organic creatures.
FULL VIEW PLEASE!
Mandelbulb 3D, DOF effects done in Photoshop

Do not miss 'Pupal Metamorphosis of Queen Cleopatra' - Found in the same fractal:

By the gods, you must spend so much time on this sorta thing.
About how long approx for each one?

MANDELWERK In reply to SirFerrick [2011-10-30 12:50:59 +0000 UTC]
Too much time
Hard to tell, rendering times are very different 1-8 hours, but then there is all time searching, and rendering 10 boring images I never put up before I get the right one... I guess I use 12-20 hours for each submitted image.

I couldn't do that. Even if i had your immense skills at this, i'd get bored after half an hour. and i do.

Have you read The Inmortal (from "Aleph") of Jorge Luis Borges? The inmenseness of these pieces (this one and the others about cities) remembered me this tale, that is about a travel to a city of the inmortals.
Just only a bit:
"Este palacio es fábrica de los dioses, pensé primeramente. Exploré los inhabitados recintos y corregí: Los dioses que lo edificaron han muerto. Noté sus peculiaridades y dije: Los dioses que lo edificaron estaban locos. "
"This palace is a factory of the gods, i though first. I explored the uninhabited enclosures and corrected myself: The gods who built it have died. I noticed their peculiarities and said: The gods who built it were mad."
Thank you for all your awesome pictures. I would put an and a comentary in all of them if that wasn't too long time and maybe bothers you, but instead I put this long one here for all of the rest.
I am really amazed of the things that the humankind can express in his paintings and deviantart (and your pictures too) are a good example of that. Congratulations.

Thank you very much Alberto. Your description here sure gives me a reason to read Borges.
I know that "Aleph" was published in Swedish this year...
What fascinates me about your quote from the book is that I recognize the feeling I get when I explore a new fractal hybrid, I think we have found the factory of the mad gods.
Glad to hear you like my works!
