I just found this picture in a folder of sketches of mine. Believe it or not this was my attempt to draw Angelica back in 2005 when I first came up with the Dervland story. Back then her shoes were bowed flats rather than sneakers, and they weren't living shoes, they were just time travelling shoes (the story has developed considerably since then). As you can see, my art leaves much to be desired, which is why I never illustrated myself.
