Buenas tardes de domingo! Ayer me aburría mucho en el curro, y como llevo días buscando cosas de Saint Seiya me entró la nostalgia y decidí hacer un fanart después de años sin hacer ninguno de esta maravillosa serie. Aquí veis a los caballeros de oro justo antes de que pasara lo que tenía que pasar XDDDD Los caballeros de oro del Saint Seiya original son mis favoritos. los de Lost Canvas están muy bien, pero estos tienen algo especial: hay algunos super malvados, otros que son buenos, pero todos son amor. Es como si detrás de cada uno hubiera algo super dramático y nada heroico. Rompo una lanza en favor de estos caballeros de oro, pa mí, los mejores, sin duda! Espero que os guste
Hello, good sunday afternoon, everybody! Long time since I didn't draw a Saint Seiya fanart! I love so much this series. Last days I was searching for some things about SS, and I felt the need to draw these characters again
This "photo" was taken before the fatal incident on the Sanctuary. They are child gold saints, they look so cute 
Now Saint Seiya Lost Canvas is so popular, but my favourite gold saints are the ones from first SS series. Some of them are evil, some of them are good, but all of them are LOVE! Behind every one of them hides some kind of dramatism that drive me crazy, perhaps they are not as much heroic as their lost canvas equivalents, but I love them more!

Cada caballero tiene una personalidad muy marcada, y por desgracia ni en el manga ni en el anime tenemos la oportunidad de conocerlos bien, por eso intento mostrar cómo los veo yo.
Hay algunos como DM, Aphrodite o Aldebarán que no gustan a la gente, yo soy defensora total de todos

Aldebaran... sólo conozco a UNA chica (GoldenCygnus aquí en dA) a la que le gusta el personaje tanto como para ponerlo de pseudo-pareja para uno de sus personajes
eso sí... el reto sería encontrar UNA sóla fan que no haya mirado a Milo alguna vez y haya pensado "

XDD eso fue lo que me pasó, de repente empecé a buscar imágenes de StS, se me rizó la piel y me entraron ganas de dibujar a todos los caballeros de oro, hacía años que no lo hacía y ha sido estupendo!

I don't know why people don't love Aldebaran, he is so charmy *__* and lovely. I try to draw him always happy. Shaka is so quiet, you never know if he is happy or not, that's cool!

Doncs un dels meus preferits és el Aldebarán, justament per ser dels pocs que no es una maricona afeminada xDDDD I el Mascara de Muerte, nomes per cabron i tarat xDDDD
Respecte al Afrodita, ni fu ni fa, la veritat... xDDD aixo si, quan apareixia per 1r cop en el manga, en una doble pàgina que volia ser molt amenaçadora, allà amb la seva piga de Marilyin Monroe i la seva rosa de ballarí de tango a la boca, no vaig poder evitar riure i dir en veu alta "però a qui vols imposar respecte, aixi?" xDDDDDD

L'Aldebarán a mi tmb m'agrada molt, perquè era l'únic que semblava passar-s'ho bé lluitant i el tio es va pixar de riure quan el Seiya li va trencar la banya XDDD A la gent no li agrada, però és tot macu
XDDD el meu Afrodita, si és un encant! Però en general les vinyetes del manga no impactaven gens >___< encara no sé com carai ha triunfat aquest dibuixant XDDD

This is awesome! I've been meaning to watch Saint Seiya. It never really took off in the states the way it did elsewhere, but then again the advertising campaign was LOUSY.

Oh geeeeeeez! I forgot about the censorship!! That's something about late 90's/early 2000's American anime that I had thankfully forgotten about! >_< It's still annoying in parts--Viz's translation of the Dragonball manga is STILL heavily censored--but it's a lot better than it was back then.
I still wish for the day where there can be a Saint Seiya/Ronin Warriors (Yoroiden Samurai Troopers) crossover.

I know, Saint Seiya, Dragon Ball, Kinnikuman and One Piece are censored in USA, perhaps there're more consored series, I can't understand why the violence shown on these series is considered so bad >__< Censoring that way, arruined the series

They're trying to make an uncensored One Piece translation recently, now that FUNimation took over the license.
I think it's because America never thought of animation or comics as anything other than "Peanuts" and "Scooby Doo." Anything more mature than that and they freak.

Is always difficult to lay down the limits between child and mature, specially when we talk about comics or animation. Anyway, kids are not stupid, and the proof is the censored versions didn't take off.

Yeah, for some reason, parents very easily forget how smart they were as children, and assume that kids are blank-minded drones that have no way of distinguishing fantasy from reality, or right from wrong to ANY degree. These are the people who try to censor villains in kids' shows from being "too evil" because they think that children (and teenagers) are too stupid to understand that the Bad Guy is Bad and does Bad Things That Good People Should Not Do. @_@
For crap's sake, I read the Jurassic Park novel when I was 9 years old and LOVED it! It didn't make me want to be a mad scientist, bring back the dinosaurs, or eat people! That was a heck of a violent book, but it didn't traumatize me either.

I saw Saint Seiya for the first time when I was 10, and that amount of blood impressed me, but I got more impressed by the beauty of the scenes and characters. I remember I thouhgt "WOOOOOOOOOOW what a good anime!"
On TV are more violence and bad moral principles in News programs or in what they call "reality shows" and nobody complains about it. It's easier to replace a cigarrette by a lollipop >_____<

I think some people are a combination of lazy and insane from lack of proper socialization. Most of the people I've met who are like that are the types who ONLY talk to their husband/wife after they get married and never interact with society in a normal way thereafter. Once they have kids, they only get worse...

Yep, unfortunately there are many people like that. TV cannot be a substitute for parents, but if parents are unable to teach proper socialization rules to their children, TV becomes the main reference for them
