Had to have my cat of 14 years, Marilyn, put to sleep today after a long battle with cancer and other problems. It was the hardest and most painful decision of my life.
R.I.P. to a beautiful cat, who never wanted anything but love and attention, and could always be relied on to make my day happier.
I’ll miss you so much, but you’ll always be in my heart and memories. ♥

three of which are rather old. I live in a hot area right now and I have to put Carmex on my oldest cat and I have to put Carmex on my oldest cat's nose keep it from drying out.they are my family and although they have quit using the litter box I still love them.

Awww, that's sweet. I have two other senior kitties (16 year old and 12 years old), and a younger one (7 years). They're my family and I love them all.
I hope your oldest cat is coping with the heat. He must look adorable with that Carmex on his nose!

So sorry to hear about Marilyn, please accept my sympathy. I know how you feel, I just had to put my sweet Casey 11 yrs. old to sleep and it hurts so much

Losing a family member is always so hard, but at least the grief will fade in time, whereas the happy memories will stay for life. That's the thought that I'm clinging onto at the moment.

Yes, I agree but right now the memories make cry. I guess I am not ready to let him go just yet He was such a sweet and gentle soul, both he and Murphy were such a comfort when I lost my husband a couple of years ago
