Itachi got out of the Christina and moved towards the Juubi, only for Ultear to grab his shoulder to stop him and make him turn to her. "While what? I watch helplessly from the sidelines? I don't think so." She affirmed in anger.

"I'm asking you to wait with the kids." He told her in his usual monotone and stilted voice. The kids watched from the downed Magic Bomber.

"And I'm telling you not a chance." She declared as she approached him. "You're my husband. I'm with you, for better or worse." There was a harsh edge on her voice when she said the last part, making it clear that she intended to help him whether he liked it or not.

"I have to do this alone." He told her with his tone not changing one bit as he turned and started walking in the rampage's direction.

She got in front of him again to make him stop. "What is this to you? Playtime?"

"No." He said stoically as always.

"So you can be the Red Crow again?"

"No."

"Then what? What is it?" Ultear persisted, clearly tired after everything they've been through.

Itachi didn't respond at first. Seemingly trying to find the right words. "I'm not..."

"Not what?" She asked sourly.

Finally, Itachi relented. "I-I'm not strong enough."

Ultear could only stare baffled at him. "Strong enough. And this will make you stronger?"

"No..." His cold tone now betrayed the building anxiety inside of him.

"That's what this is? Some sort of workout!?" Asked a now enraged Ultear.

"I CAN'T LOSE YOU AGAIN!" He suddenly broke down into near-hysterics and grabbed his wife by the shoulders before sighing. He let go of her and faced the ground. "I can't. Not again." His voice was soft and emotional but still deep. His Sharingan was activated and glinting with what were clearly unshed tears. "I'm not...strong enough."

Ultear didn't know what to say while Meredy and Sasuke just watched from the Christina. Ultear moved to her husband, Itachi slightly raised his head to her in the exact moment that she launched herself at him, surrounding her arms around his neck and kissing her husband, tender and deep.

When they finally parted, she looked at him with pure love in her eyes and said soothingly. "If we work together, you won't have to be."

Itachi still wasn't so sure. "I don't know what'll happen."

His wife smiled at him. "Hey. We're superheroes. What can happen?"

The moment was cut by Meredy's scream.

One of the Juubi's tails came down and destroyed what was left of the Magic Bomber, but the kids quickly made it out. The Family ran to the other side of the road; the Juubi tried to crush them with its tails but only managed to block the kids from escaping. Meredy screamed again.

Ultear cried out at the sight of her children in danger. "MEREDY! SASUKE! NO!"

The Juubi swung his tails to smash the youths, but Meredy intercepted his attack by using her Maguilty Rays to launch a barrage of yellow blades. The Young Mage strained as she tried to protect herself and her little brother. The Juubi then came forward, slamming his body with full force towards them. They managed to escape from the onslaught but Meredy took the brunt of the impact and was knocked out.

"Meredy?" Sasuke looked in fear at the unconscious body of his older sister. He saw one of the monster's tails coming from the side to crush them, and he quickly moved to protect Meredy with his body. Itachi was quick to intervene and hastily appeared between the kids and the massive limb, blocking the whip with the Yata No Kagami.

"Dad!" Sasuke cried happily at his father.

"Go, go!" Itachi told them as he struggled to hold off the tail.

Meredy recovered her conscience in time for Ultear to come, grab her, and take her to a safe place with Sasuke in tow. Itachi dispersed his shield and grabbed hold of the tail, but was caught unprepared against another tail swipe coming from behind that threw him into Hokage Monument. Ultear ran with Meredy in her arms and Sasuke by her side to the corner of a building.

"I'm okay, mom. Really." Meredy tried to reassure her.

"Stay here, okay?" She adverted her and Sasuke before running to join the fight.

The Juubi climbed the rocky cliff to look for Itachi. Leaping from Hiruzen's face, the Red Crow materialized his Susanoo and stabbed the beast right through the eye with his Totsuka No Tsurugi, causing it to fall off to the ground. The ex-hero landed safely on a rooftop near the Hokage Residence; he turned in time to see a familiar face jumping across the roofs towards the Bijuu.

"Demon Shark." Itachi whispered with a small smile.

Kisame performed several Hand Seals in quick succession before firing his attack. "Suiton: Ameshikō (Water Style: Four Shark Shower)!" He breathed out a large surge of water into the air; the water formed into a group of four water sharks, which then rushed against the Juubi from above.

"Itachi!" Red Crow turned to see Ice Queen stop right in front of him. Her eyes looked up and followed as Kisame's body was smacked into a pile of rumble. Itachi saw it too.

"Hey!" The swordsman's friend exclaimed indignantly at the Bijuu before being smacked himself into a building and landing on the other side of the road, the Susanoo's ribcage having protected him.

Then the Juubi focused his attention on Ice Queen but she jumped out of the way of his attack. She ran to the side of a building and avoided another swipe from the beast. Kisame got up and launched another water shark to attack the tail stuck in the building but it freed itself. The monster kept going after Ultear and fired a sequence of tiny Bijuudamas at her.

Groaning in pain, Itachi raised his head and found a peculiar-looking Sealing Tag. Remembering it as the one Tobi had used to subdue the Ten-Tails, he was quick to grasp it.

"Tobi's Tag!" Given the circumstances, not even he could resist raising Seal to the air as he shouted uncharacteristically mirthfully.

The Juubi revolved immediately at that. It's Rinne-Sharingan focused on the Sealing Tag then on Itachi's now 'Oh Crap' face. The beast then slammed his palm, cracking the ground, and grasping Red Crow. As the Bijuu lifted him up, Itachi was able to materialize his Susanoo's skeleton hand and used it to throw the Tag to the creature's head, suppressing its power and making it collapse on itself with Itachi cutting off the hand to set himself free.

"The Tag controls the Juubi!" Meredy realized as she and Sasuke watched the battle from afar.

The beast got back on its feet and swiped against Itachi once the latter regained the tag, forcing the hero to retreat. The Red Crow was put on the defensive as the monster unleashed a volley of Bijuudamas in a row in his direction.

"Hey, dad!" Itachi followed his son's voice to find him jumping to grab his attention from a few buildings away. "Throw it! Throw it!"

"Go long!" Itachi shouted as he threw the Tag with all his might over the Juubi for Sasuke to catch it.

Sasuke chased after the Tag while avoiding the Bijuudamas beams. He ran to the outskirts of the village and across the lake in one of the Training Grounds around Konoha, and finally caught the Sealing Tag.

"Got it!" He shouted.

Sasuke ran to the shore but the laser beams hit the treeline car, causing an explosion and setting the forest on fire. He tried going the other way but another bomb blasted next to him.

"Honey, try to keep it in place!" Itachi shouted to Ultear as he moved after the Juubi, doing his best to evade the swiping of its tails.

The mother used her Ice-Make to turn the ground into a slick surface, making it difficult for the beast to balance itself. Kisame surfed on a bigger water shark and hit the Juubi's back. The attack barely did anything to it but Itachi's Amaterasu flames boiled the water to create a scorching cloud of steam that gave way to the black inferno, setting the Bijuu on fire.

Sasuke tried to escape from the circle of fire when Kisame came in on another shark and scooped him up. "Sasuke! Gotcha!"

The Juubi saw that Sasuke had the Sealing Tag and powered through the black flames to lunge after him and Kisame. The Demon Shark dived into a nearby lake; the monster did the same, causing the pool to overflow and creating a huge wave. Kisame's shark was blown off with the two, and the Demon Shark jumped off in the air as he performed another sequence of Hand Seals.

"Suiton: Dai Bakusui Shōha (Water Style: Super Exploding Water Shockwave)!" Kisame spewed out a massive amount of water, covering the entire area with a ferocious tsunami; Gathering the ocean of water into the shape of a gigantic water prison, trapping the Juubi inside.

Sasuke landed in a tree branch but lost the Sealing Tag. Itachi moved across the forest; the wave had doused out the flames, thus allowing him to approach the area. He spotted the Tag and sprinted to grab it. The Juubi saw him and shoot one of its tails at the hero before he managed to grab the Tag, sending Itachi flying away deep into the woods. As the Bijuu attempted to fight off against its watery prison, Ultear used her Ice-Make: Rosen Krone to bind the monster in place, making it fall over. The Juubi tried once again to reach the Tag with one of its tails but the limb was pinned down by a shower of teal blades created by Meredy's Maguilty Sodom. The girl was able to catch the Tag and took it to the others as the beast still tried to free itself.

"Mom, I've got it! I've got the Sealing Tag!" Meredy said as she showed the Tag to her mother. The Juubi was close to breaking free.

"A Sealing Tag?" Kisame asked, locked out of the loop. "A Tag that seals what?"

The monster was about to lunge at the group when Meredy focused her Chakra on the Sealing Formula, manifesting ten red torii that fell from above, immobilizing the beast between the gate and the ground.

"The Bijuu?!" Kisame's jaw dropped.

Deeper into the forest, Itachi tried to get up after taking a blow from the Juubi. The monster managed to use its brute strength to break free from the red gates.

"It's coming back!" Sasuke snatched the Tag from his sister and focused his own Chakra into the Seal but the Juubi was struggling against its bidings. "That wasn't right."

"Give me that!" Meredy took the Tag back.

Itachi stopped a little far from them. "We can't stop it." He considered a strategy. "The only thing hard enough to penetrate it is..." His eyes widened when he saw the Juubi gathering up energy to create a titanic Bijuudama, which made him remember how he defeated the Gedō Mazō by trapping it in a Genjutsu and making blow its attack on itself "...itself."

"It's getting closer!" Sasuke called out loud.

"It doesn't work!" Meredy said. The beast was breaking free from the Seal's power.

"Kids!" Ultear shouted and took the Sealing Tag.

"It's not doing anything!" Kisame pointed out.

Ultear turned to him. "Kisame, try to buy us some time!"

"Try combining the Chakra with Magic!" He suggested before jumping into the watery prison. "Suiton: Senshokukō (Water Style: Thousand Hungry Sharks)!" He turned a wave into a giant swarm of sharks which he led on an assault against the Juubi.

"Honey!" Ultear looked behind her to find Itachi. "Let him prepare his attack!"

"WHAT?!"

"The only thing that can destroy the Juubi is the Juubi itself." He looked as the Bijuu swatted away Kisame's onslaught and started gathering Chakra for one last devastating attack. "When it is ready to fire, I will strike it with my most powerful long-ranged attack while you and the kids focus as much energy into Tag as you can." He turned to her with a determined expression. "Just wait for my signal, we have to do this together."

Ultear took a moment to process her husband's plan before nodding, showing as much determination as him. "Got it!"

"It's getting closer!" Sasuke warned them.

"LOOK OUT!" Kisame signaled his arrival, the beast smacked him away again. The Demon Shark shook his head before joining Red Crow's side. "Okay, let's do this!" He prepared a Hand Seal.

The Juubi gathered the positive black and negative white chakra and balanced them together in his mouth, shaping it into a conical shape. The resulting mass was incredibly dense, so much so that despite being suspended in the air, it instantly cratered the ground beneath the Tem-Tails due to its extreme weight. This attack would without doubt destroy the entire village as well as the surrounding area. Ultear gulped at the thought alone.

"EVERYBODY DUCK!"

Itachi's shout signaled their counterattack. Ultear showed the Tag to her kids and they channeled their energies into the Sealing Formula. The Juubi barely buckled.

"Yasaka no Magatama!" The Red Crow created Yasaka Magatama from the two of his hands and threw them, the beads rapidly spinning towards the Ten-Tails.

"Suiton: Daikōdan no Jutsu (Water Style: Super Water Shark Bomb Jutsu)!" Demon Shark created a gigantic shark out of the water and, by thrusting both hands forward, send it to attack the Juubi.

'BOOOM'

The combined attack hit the monster dead on, making it lose balance and resulting in its attack detonating right on its face. The heroes raised their arms to protect themselves from the resulting shockwave. The explosion was visible from incredibly far away and vaporized almost everything in the blast area, causing immense damage to the vicinity but only doing meager structural damage to the village proper. The cloud of dust and debris died down to reveal the unmoving form of the Juubi. The group lowered their arms and gazed at the monster, which now seemed to be stuck in place. Everything was silent for a second before the beast toppled dead to the ground with a mighty 'THUD'.

"Hey, Kisame." Itachi greeted his friend, who laughed back.

The villagers came out and formed a cheering crowd around them. Happy for the beast's defeat.

Tobi groaned as he looked down after waking up "Huh?" He cursed over his ruined plan. "No!"

"Hey, Hiro." A man gestured the scene to his companion. "Did you see that? Eh? That's the way to do it. That's old school."

'Hiro' laughed and agreed. "Yeah, Masashi. No school like the old school."

"Ha-ha! Just like old times!" Kisame declared as the cheering got louder, making Itachi give out a light chuckle as he held an arm around his wife.

"Just like old times." The Crow said, giving his friend a heavy pat on the back with his Susanoo.

"Oh! Yeah." Kisame spoke with a wince. "Hurt then too. Ow."

Itachi's shout signaled their counterattack. Ultear showed the Tag to her kids and they channeled their energies into the Sealing Formula. The Juubi barely buckled.

"Yasaka no Magatama!" The Red Crow created Yasaka Magatama from the two of his hands and threw them, the beads rapidly spinning towards the Ten-Tails.

"Suiton: Daikōdan no Jutsu (Water Style: Super Water Shark Bomb Jutsu)!" Demon Shark created a gigantic shark out of the water and, by thrusting both hands forward, send it to attack the Juubi.

'BOOOM'

The combined attack hit the monster dead on, making it lose balance and resulting in its attack detonating right on its face. The heroes raised their arms to protect themselves from the resulting shockwave. The explosion was visible from incredibly far away and vaporized almost everything in the blast area, causing immense damage to the vicinity but only doing meager structural damage to the village proper. The cloud of dust and debris died down to reveal the unmoving form of the Juubi. The group lowered their arms and gazed at the monster, which now seemed to be stuck in place. Everything was silent for a second before the beast toppled dead to the ground with a mighty 'THUD'.

"Hey, Kisame." Itachi greeted his friend, who laughed back.

The villagers came out and formed a cheering crowd around them. Happy for the beast's defeat.

Tobi groaned as he looked down after waking up "Huh?" He cursed over his ruined plan. "No!"

"Hey, Hiro." A man gestured the scene to his companion. "Did you see that? Eh? That's the way to do it. That's old school."

'Hiro' laughed and agreed. "Yeah, Masashi. No school like the old school."

"Ha-ha! Just like old times!" Kisame declared as the cheering got louder, making Itachi give out a light chuckle as he held an arm around his wife.

"Just like old times." The Crow said, giving his friend a heavy pat on the back with his Susanoo.

"Oh! Yeah." Kisame spoke with a wince. "Hurt then too. Ow."
