I just simply fall in love with those.
Personally, I prefer the first one slightly than the 2nd one.
I dunno, I think it has something to do with the contrast used on it.
And the character, it's a little bit more uncommon, the nursery one rather than man slaying monsters concept.
And people like peculiar things.
Anyhow, wonderful job on both. <33

I love the left concept. But I feel the right is lacking. It might be the red of the beast, it seems a bit overpowering with the cyan sky and the orange earth.

The way you capture lighting, angles, and action is so beautiful. So crisp. So clean, Love the colors. How do you even do it? I'm completely envious.

The level of coolness present here has made me suddenly and irritatingly unable to string a sentence together in a fashion which can describe exactly how cool this is without consistently over-repeating the word 'cool'...
*inarticulate, slack-jawed "gahgahgah" noises of amazement*

The nurse's facial expression as she reads the book is superb, oh and I think the 'crossed' eyes are a very nice touch, adding a sense of humor to what would otherwise be an extremely sombre image...
The hypodermic needle is genius, I have always thought that they appear to be much larger than they actually are, here is proof of that.
All in all... This is absolutely amazing!

I don't think I'm ready to even crit. this art. I see nothing wrong with it.
The deisgn on the monster in the second picture is very different. I like it a lot.
