I can never understand what people see in the DD-worthiness of stocks...I guess it's just not my cup of tea.
In any case, this is indeed a beautiful shot and I could see a lot of artists using this in a billion creative ways. It's a good capture-- not easy to get cats to hold still in poses.

I totally accept your opinion, and can kind of see your point here. Sometimes it doesn't really give you the idea that it's 'art' (I also sometimes feel like it's just a random shot). But I truly appreciate that you still like mine, such an honour!

Stock is a form of art, and art is subjective so it must just be a personal thing with you. Like for me, I personally don't understand how fan art is featured as a DD as in my opinion it is not original art but a mediocre copy of another man's genius. That's only an opinion, of course.

What's the big deal anyway? -_- They may not have a lot of time in their day, at least they're leaving a comment at all instead of just faving and running. You're not the one receiving the comment anyway, so you getting all huffy about it is really ridiculous. I'm pretty sure it's NOT a rule that you can only leave a comment if you plan on critiquing.

Listen you. I have someone who comments on all my stuff with "looks great 
and He does that to the others he watches.
Some people don't but big constructive comments! some people like to hear "look great! congrats!"

I think you are over reacting. Taking the time to congratulate someone who got a DD means that person gets that comment once, and it's limited to only a few people a day. When people spam they copy it to any and all, often resulting in commenting the same person multiple times with the same comment, and it's sure a whole lot more than those few comments this person made.
There are always exceptions to the rule, or times when it doesn't actually apply. I always thank the people who used my stock cause I love when they do! But if it's used in a type of art that don't appeal to me I have nothing personal to say about it, and simply say "Thanks for using my stock, I'm glad it could be of use! =^_^=" (Its not copy pasted, as I type it out, but with little to now variation) THAT isn't spam either.
There are no rules without exceptions. This is one simple line from the DA policy completely out of context and far from correctly accused.

... You know, I find that this is a bit disrespectful, honestly. Normally, I like to include more specific comments about each person's art, but I only had five minutes to do this today.
And where is this in dA's policy? Where exactly is the clause saying that I have to do this at all? I'm taking a bit of time out of my day to congratulate everyone on their work. How I choose to do that is none of your concern. (And, for the record, all of the actual artists who are getting the compliments have appreciated it thus far.)
So remind me how trying to be nice is disrespectful? And show me how it violates policy? Because I'll gladly read that particular rule and pass it onto some of the community volunteers who do the same thing. I wouldn't want to be doing something wrong, now, would I? ^^

I think they may be referring to this "Do not 'spam' (send large numbers of identical notes or comments). Spamming is obnoxious and is typically used for self-promotion, or other unwanted advertising."

Don't be "more careful", and you don't have to explain anything. You were being nice and you didn't do anything wrong nor broke any rules. Some people appreciate it more than others and that is really their problem, not yours
