Description
Due to the todays DD on this work i found the chance to leave some decent comment here
This image was painted on a canvas,dimensions: 28,19 cm X 38,06 cm.Medium i used on this one is acrylics,image had some brightness/contrast adjuments in the end at photoshop cs3.My influence on this comes for some old painter masters and mostly Rembrandt-who is my favorite one,also,the city i live is located near to some mountains where dark forests like this one can be found,so when i have the time i do visit those places not only because they are beautiful but mostly to get some inspiration.Forest themes under this gamma are my favorites...and the landscapes i face during my little trips there give me the power and the needed feeling to create those kind of works.

I absolutely love this. As a painter, I can appreciate the time you put into this, each and every stroke. It's all just perfect, but the part that stands out most to me are the three bare trees there on the left. Just exquisite. Wonderful work.

lol someone is always better the whole about being an artist is something can always be build upon or improved in some way but I still tend to see what everyone else does and seejust how much more I have to do before I get to that points I'm weird that way hehe

Heh,yea, sometimes its really weird for everyone...when i see some better works with great quality i try to learn something from it than getting dreppesed or disapointed,i think that we may never succeed other artists level but i believe that it doesnt matter as long you have to offer something that its unique its own way...

how much time does something like this take you I worked on peice on art it was either three by four foot or a bit bigger I had to copy a cubist painting even after 100+ hours it still had some elments missing that the orginal did mainly some o0f my colors were off cause I was afraid to darken some of the areas I don't think i out it up here cause since it was a copy of master I wouldn't feel right in posting it O.o

Fear of darkening some areas is very usual-I am a dark painter in overall so i dont think that much for the dark composition-it just comes out by itself hehe,but sometimes i over do it!well,for a picture like this i can take a full day to two ore three the most..depending of the quality,details and size ofcourse,funny thing this was made pretty quick,actually it took me almost a whole day ,which was fast for my standards on making traditional stuff with oils and acrylics.I understand how you feel,really.

oh btw how is to use acrylics I've used watercolors and oils but I never done acrylics

Its like using temperas but acrylics get dried out pretty fast ,so you have tha chance of creating multiply layers that can help you give some nice depth and texturing...you should try it
