Erica and her boyfriend, Shawn, were invited to a friends party to celebrate their new engagement. Erica didn't want to go but insisted they go...Once at the party they found themselves pretty entertained for the evening. Catching up with friends, telling stories and drinking some beer. For the most part it was pretty enjoy able.
Suddenly Shawn was called by the groom, Jake, who's also his friend. He wanted to show him something in the garage... The two men walked in and closed the door.
Jake pulled off the sheet and it looked like a ray gun...
"W-what is this?" Shawn asked...
"It's the exact shrink ray from the movie honey we shrunk ourselves!" Jake said in excitement. He was an enormous movie buff and collected props and items from all sorts of different movies
"Oh... Cool! I've never seen it though..." Shawn replied unable to share in Jakes excitement.
"The coolest part is that it actually turns on" Jake said walking over to the machine and turning it on...
The machine started smoking and humming sounding like its powering up.
"For a movie prop it looks pretty realistic..." Shawn commented, impressed by the engineering of it.
"Oh I know... This things so fucking cool..." Jake replied.
"Have you tried shooting it?" Shawn asked curiously as he stared at the machine
"You know nothings going to happen, its a prop..." Jake replied
"So... You haven't?" Shawn replied said with a joking smile.
"I mean... Alright here I'll activate it..." Jake said as he pointed the machine at a mirror. He saw Shawn's reflection in it and thought it would be funny to shoot him with it.
Jake waited for the machine to charge up, "alright critical mass! Fire!" He yelled pressing the button and shooting it.
The lazer bounced off the mirror and hit nearly everything in the reflection. Jake, Shawn, even the shrink ray suddenly shrunk to bug size....
The mens eyes widen as they looked at each other then at the enormous garage they were just standing in... Almost in sync the men screamed, "AHHHHHHH!!!!"
"I THOUGHT THIS WAS A PROP!" shawn screamed
"IT IS OR AT LEAST SUPPOSE TO BE" Jake replied in a panic
"JAKE LOOK AT US WERE SHRUNK! CHANGE US BACK!!" Shawn screamed
"O-OKAY!" Jake screamed trying to activate the shrink ray again...
"Oh... Oh no..." Jake said while bending over the machine
"What!? What oh no!?" Shawn said worriedly
Jake stood up and held one thing in his hand... The power cable for the machine... Now too small to actually work
"ARE YOU FUCKING KIDDING ME!?" Shawn screamed to himself...
"Shawn we just need to think of a way out of this..."
"A WAY OUT!? JAKE I DON'T KNOW IF YOU'VE NOTICED BUT AS OF RIGHT NOW WE ARE A BUGS DINNER!" Shawn spat back...
"Well lets just be glad its not worse..." Jake once again trying to reason with him...
"HOW COULD THIS GET ANY FUCKING WORSE!"
Suddenly the door to the garage creeked open, "honey? Guys?"
Shawn and Jake's wives walked out looking straight over them, unable to see them...
"Where are did they go?" Jakes wife, Jessica, said in a questioning tone.
"They said they were checking something out in here..." Erica replied
"Oh my fucking god...." Jake said...
"What? Now they can help us... We're saved..." Shawn replied
"Not if they step on us..." Jake said looking white as a ghost...
"Hey look!" Jessica said walking towards where rhe machine was.
The two men screamed and ran as their bare foot wives walked towards them. They are unable to see their bug sized lovers as they ran for their lives.
"He got rid of it..." Jessica said out loud...
"Got rid of what?" Erica asked.
"This weird movie prop Jake bought. We have no room for it and it was taking up a spot in the garage. We got into a fight over it but it looks like he finally listened and got rid of it..."
The men stopped looked at one another and said, "THE MACHINE!". They both looked back to witness the machine was still intact between Jessica's feet.
"Now I don't have to worry about hitting the stupid thing when I pull into the garage" Jessica said taking a step to turn around.
The men watched in horror as their only means of returning back to normal sized was crushed under the weight of Jake's wife...
Jessica felt something under her foot and lifted it to see a bunch of parts smashed to her sole. "Yeah, ew... I definitely need to sweep in here" she said wiping off her foot...
"So I guess Jake and Shawn are still out dumping that thing?" Erica asked taking another swig of beer and walking forward.
The two men screamed as a shadow cast over them and in an instant, engulfed the men.
"I guess so... Lets go relax until they get back..." Jessica offered and they walked out.
Once back to where she started, Erica propped her feet onto the table and waited for Shawn to return... Little did she know Shawn was plastered to her sole like dirt as with Jake screaming between her toes, mourning the death of his friend...
