I actually considered this image to be a failure and never intended on sharing it. However, after all the work I've put into it I decided after a few days to look at it again and turns out I actually really like it! Sometimes you need to take a step back and distance yourself from your work for a while to really learn to appreciate it.(I'm not dead, really! I just somehow always tend to forget uploading my images, especially when it comes to deviantArt..I feel like it's so much more complicated uploading here.)

depressing- but refreshing. reminds me of someone sinking in sadness or in a dream . wether the dream is dark or delightfull. i feel neutral about it.
but it also could be somebody leaving his physical body to travel to a world far beyond my personally imagination.

There's something so true in this piece. Love the texture of the cloth meshing into the abysmal cloudy "sky". I bet you call this piece "The Inbetween" because you're neither depress nor at peace... you're somewhere in the indescribable middle?Β
