Great capture! I can imagine he thrown something away from himself. Like trying to concentrate on other things.

your art is brilliant, your art is not going backwards. i couldn't do what you do. You really do have great potential and don't let anyone let you think otherwise and don't let anyone think that you are a bad artist because you are magnificent.

Excellent!
(May I have a clue as to how this could possibly be a step backwards?)
Personally.. I like this one MUCH more than Week 1 thur 4.
Week 1.. caught feeling!.. But.. ummm.. too dark?
Week 2.. no no no.. please don't do that again (hehe)
Week 3.. Awesomeness! I'm definitely into the story unfolding here.
Week 4.. Brilliant manip! But.. ummm.. morbid?
Week 5.. Yes! do more of this please!

Please don't feel like you're taking a step backwards with your art. I was drawn to this piece instantly, even in thumbnail size. You're able to capture the essence of a moment - something I find very important in the effectiveness of photography. I love the coloration, the vintage feel of the piece, and how the woods are blurred in the background. It makes it feel almost like a dream. Like a previous commenter said, I do love the motion and the juxtaposition with the stillness of the surroundings. It makes him seem almost like he's out of place, almost ethereal. I love the pose, too, and the vulnerability that's exposed - the way his head is down and he is half-bared. The struggle you can see in himself - the way one arm is raised and the other is almost gripping it and tensed to stop it. There's so much emotion in this piece. I can't stop looking at it.
I don't mean this to sound like flattery, but I do really think you have a gift and a vision. Don't ever doubt yourself because I love your work.

you seriously have no idea how much this means to me. and you just made my whole day, probably even the whole week and the whole month!
It's just incredible that you took so much time to write such a long comment just to make me feel a little bit better. Thank you SO much!

You're very welcome! I'm glad you do feel better, too. Every artist feels that way about his work at some point or another; I completely understand. But it's all inner pressure.
