I've decided to start doing some portraits from the Wheel of Time series by Robert Jordan (if you haven't read the series, check it out!), seeing as my previous WoT fan art is terribly outdated, and I want to push myself further. This is Matrim Cauthon, or simply Mat, one of the main characters from the series. I think I got it pretty close to how I envision him

Awesome- I love the shading, gold background, and smile! A lot of awesome artists can't seem to pull off a smile showing teeth without it looking creepy or forced (me being one of them.. minus the "awesome"). His smile looks really natural tho. Good job!
Btw, I haven't read WoT yet, but I've read a ton of books by the author who helped write the last few books, Brandon Sanderson. His stuff is also really good if you haven't already read some of it. I'd recommend the Stormlight Archive or Mistborn Trilogy.
