Blazing flames crackle beneath the hearth. Here am I, curled up in your arms under the warmest blanket, ignoring the passing of time. Your hand slips through my hair while the other traces my palm. It tickles, and I laugh in delight, burying my head deeper into your chest. A sigh is released, the only sound heard above the ticking of a clock. Warm mochas rest on the antique chest before us, but we forgot about them a long time ago. Here we rest, and here we are safe. Our love song echoes across the mountain tops where we fly above the world. The stars are the only thing which catch us. This moment is perfect and surreal, and with you alone I share it.
