Description Okapi mutation
Regular mutation
A regular mutation is a mutation that doesn't show any unnatural color and works in a dominant way.
This means that when the horse carries the hetero form of this gene, the pattern shall already be visible.
Regular mutation are because of this, easier to breed as you only need 1 parents with this mutation to have a change
to get a foal with this gene.

nn X nn = nn (no mutation)
nM X nn = 25% for nM (hetero mutation), 75% nn (no mutation)
nM X nM = 25% nn (no mutation), 50% nM (hetero mutation), 25% MM (dom mutation)
MM X nM = 50% nM (hetero mutation), 50% MM (dom mutation)
MM X MM = 100 MM (dom mutation)

Okapi mutation
Genotype:
nOk / OkOk
Eye color: no effect

The okapi mutation is a white mutation resembling that of the okapi. Each pattern is unique for each horse and can be minimal to maximum stripes. Stripes can vary from thin to thick and are found on the legs and extend up the buttock but do not occur past the croup. The solid white on the legs does not extend far past the knee, or far past the hock. This marking is covered by white marks.

 Classic Okapi
The classic okapi shows markings on the legs and buttocks/croup only. The stripes resemble those found on the legs of a dun horse and can be few or plentiful. Stripes on the hindquarters may be small or large and may connect.

 Extended Okapi
The Extended okapi shows markings like the classic, however a white marking is found on the face. This white marking is only present from the cheek/jaw to just before the muzzle, and can cover the eyes. It can extend under the jaw and connect to the white on the other side, but it does not go over the top of the face. This marking does not extend past the head of the horse. It is symmetrical. White markings can create a "fake" full faced mask.

NOTE: These are the main guidelines for the mutation. Th group leaves room over for people their creative mind to create more unique looking versions of this mutation. Just keep in mind that maybe not all versions are gonna be accepted at it's still the meaning that you follow the basic idea of the mutation.
