Capture the experience of being there, the mood, your feelings, the place, the time, everything. I was backpaking, camped by this frozen lake high in Alberta's Northern Rockies. I hadn't seen anyone in four days. It was so beautiful.Related content

Goodness! It looks like you went to the ends of the earth to get this! Simply beautiful, love the angle, the colors, but most of all how you chose the crevice in the snow to lead the eye to the sun as a focal point.

Wow. The way the sun looks so tar shaped is amazing, and it just adds to the beautiful image. In fact, I thought from the thumbnail that the sky was added to a picture of snow, they contrast so much, but it works well!

The title doesn't seem to match the mood you captured in the picture. An indistinguishable sunset or sunrise usually represents harmony, rather than isolation.

I love hearing all the different ways people can interpret the same pieces of art. For me, the singluar line in an otherwise barren foreground stretching towards a distant sun represented the isolation. Also, my personal experience with the place factors into the emotional qualities it evokes for me.
