It enchants to me since you have caught the light through the trees and also the silky effect in the river.
Congratulations!

Very nice photo. The sun beams look very powerful and the blurred water gives a great touch.

I am going to guess this is an HDR? ^^ (I haven't read through the comments...) But the beams of light as well-defined, the lighting is direct with a glimpse of the sun, and the forground colors are still bright and vivid.
Very well-captured.

After reading your journal and you saying that you have never used the HDR technique, how did you get the blur in the water, yet not have it all over-powered by the direct sunlight? I have used the same filters that you talk about in your journal (CP, ND) and none of my results have turned out as well as this has (or with the blur of the water) without using the HDR technique. And trust me, I have tried, as I prefer to see what my shot looks like while I am still shooting, rather than get to my studio and realize that the exposure blend didn't work as well as I had anticipated while I was shooting it.

This is breathtaking...I look at the water blur from long exposure, at the light beams through the trees..and the perfectly balanced highlights and am blown away by the technique here
