Hey guys! Wanted to finish this even though it was a nightmare from start to finish. So many things are wrong in this image but whatever I was too far in when I realised so I powered through it.

Once you get past the heart stealing and the glowing eyes he's quite a hunk. I bet he could work something out like go murder thatgthat guy outside then come back because we're missing your soap operas.

I watched the time-lapsed video on YouTube before I saw this final image.
I just wanted to say that I truly enjoyed watching you paint this, and I loved the mood and depth that you created, all while listening to Gloom from FFX. With the scenery, the light, the creature... I got a sense of overwhelming foreboding and sheer terror that made watching the creation that much more interesting. It was like watching a story unfold and I felt as if I was there. The light was beautiful, and the dark scene felt like magic.
So, even though you felt it was a nightmare from start to finish, i really enjoyed this work on a deep level. I would love to see more creation scenes like this.

I've pondered this for a while, and now that I focus less on the main character it seems to come to life. There is reality granted it by the shaft of light peering through the scene from the right. There is depth in the long winding path foreboding only in it's indication that a beast such as this might well cross your path. All this puts the beast in it's place with that relaxed lean he has that indicates that this is his territory.

Looks like an arch nemesis you'd see in a video game. One you fight multiple times throughout, and this time he's pacing around basically saying something like "naaah don't think you gettin through here tonight, heheheh"

I love how for something so vicious and brutal, the whole scene has light bleeding through it... even the twinkling in the wound in the victim's back. Brilliant

Great work! I've been working on becoming a concept artist, and I was wondering where do you think someone like me, a beginner, should start? I've already looked through the fundamentals, and I'm not quite sure where to go from there. You're in the industry, and a damn good artist....so I'd really appreciate some advice

I don't think I'm close enough to your level of artistic skill yet to point at any of the flaws. looks absolutely GLORIOUS to me, buddy! ^_^ The atmosphere is dark and stellar and the effects look great! I especially like how you added just the right amount contrast to the main character with the back lighting to start the read of the character from the bottom to the top of him. Bravo!

The video for this was exactly what I needed to see man... Creative overflow, I love how many different places you tried to take this piece. Truly awesome my friend, theres a moment when you open up his chest and he's glowing from the inside, you quickly scratched it, but I was blown away by it. You keep getting better and better, keep up the outstanding work!!!!

Ah, the video will be a nice conclusion to my work day, and the beginning of my x-mas leave, which will be consumed in a high of 4mg nicotine gum and 90'C dark roast coffee, but before I get to it and see the mistakes you speak of, a first impression on the painting... It is atmospheric as hell! Wicked depth an lighting. Would be awesome fluff material for a DnD game.
