Description A render from the next stage of the animation, where the grave has burst open (still gotta do the actual explosion but yeah).

I really like this and if you look closely, you can see what the advert is for. Its still not done though

This is a university project and is not intended for commercial use.

I didn't know you used some 3D program ! What was the software? 3d studio max I guess ?

wow! Lots of people told me that Maya is harder to use Nice job! I tried 3d smax some years ago. I definitely stopped 3D, it's too hard for me !

It can be tough at times but all that you've seen there was not hard at all really

AH VH1 nice. how are you making the grave open? is that just an object with a glow on it with high incandescence? or is it actually a hole?

but pretty cool. not sure i like the texture on the tombstone. other then that very nice grass is a pain when it comes to rendering

I know about how it affects render times all too well, and the light the texture in the hole with a glow added, but I've got a better solution now

yeah cos it dose not look much like a hole it dose the job but yeah how are you planning to make the hole open did you rig it with clusters or something?

what kinda grass are you using if its pain Fx? or fur?

you'll see, the light is sorted at least now. The grass is fur

I like! but maybe if it's not too late, try adding some very faint illumination to the background? a directional with 0.2 intensity should do fine, just cuz it's too black at the moment...

How about using an area light that points upwards with a crazy intensity or something like that? Would that work?

Well I actually AM using an area light but the intensity dosent create a glow the hides the interior of the grave. I want the light to look like its leaving the grave

hmm, so have you tried sticking the light at the bottom of the grave? and using raytrace shadows?

Nice on Ant, except I cant help to notice that the light is overlapping the grass in front of the grave, is that meant to happen?

Hmm, no, its not. Thanks for pointing that out to me. I couldnt figure out how to make a glow like that with the light itself so I tried applying a glow to the texture within

Oh I see, that texture glow does some weird things, well for me anyway, its looking cool though dude, I like how the light focuses the eyes away from the detail of the graves
