What about a series like this with Herculoids, Flintsones, Jetsons and other cartton and comiccs characters?
I'd love to see them in a more realistic/adult look like this great picture.

Here is some interesting dialog I think would be appropriate for these guys.
Shaggy; After blowing someones head off. " Zoinks. Didn't think it would do that much damage."
" Jee whiz Scob. Did you have to bite off all of his face?"
Velma ;"Jinkies. Funny I would always say that word right when we're in trouble. I mean a word that means bad luck in general."
" You think I can't see anything without my glasses? On the contrary. I see plenty. I see ghost's that won't rest. I see zombie's that can't stay dead. I see in the reflection of your eye's of a girl who is losing her youth because someone likes to play dress up."
Daphne; " Like every fahisonista I always hide a glock in my bra. Jeepers like you didn't think it was tissue paper."
On a walkie takie." Scooby Doo! Where the F*&$k are you! I'm bleeding over here."
Fred; " Jee whiz gang. If you don't like my ascot just come out and say," Fred prove to use your not a queer and wear something else around your shirt."
" The mystery machine is me. Every time she get's dented it feels like I was hit. Every scrap, chip, nail in the tire, is as if it where done on to me. So I guess small window cracks are paper cuts."
Scooby Doo; Waiting a Scooby Snack. In the way Scooby would say it. " Raggy, shrend rume of that rhit my why."
Ominously "Scooby. Dooby. Doooooooo."
