"'Um, hi, Josh," I said as my very shocked friend approached me at our
rendezvous spot.
"Holy shit, Brian! You're…."

'"Pregnant," I replied, "Yea, pretty weird, huh?"
"Dude, you're really pregnant!" Josh exclaimed, "Did you jump the first guy
you saw after turning into a woman!?'
'"'Um, no," I said nervously, "I actually haven't been with a guy since the swap.
["'Wait..." Josh said, suddenly going pale, "That means..
"'Yea. Unless Katie was cheating on you, and I don't think she was, then that
makes you the father!"
'"'Fuck!" Josh exclaimed, "Is that why you've been avoiding me all these
months!?"
"Well, I mean, at first it was just too weird being in your girlfriend's body. But
after I found out, well, that didn't make it any less weird," I explained.
"Dude! You should have told me!"
"I know, I know. You have a right to know, and a right to be a part of this kid's
life. That's why I'm telling you now.
"Shit... I'm going to be a dad.…." Josh said, clearly still shell-shocked.
"Are you okay?" I asked.
"l'Il be fine," Josh replied, "But look, I know this may still be weird for you and
all, but if we're going to be this kid's parents, I think we owe it to him or her to
try to be, you know, a family...
"I was hoping you'd say that," I said with a grin, "I mean, I'm over the whole
'not wanting to date guys' thing. Being a pregnant woman long enough kind of
kills any pretense of masculinity, let me tell you. And if I'm going to be with a
guy…. I'd very much like for that guy to be you!"
"Good... Katie," Josh replied, "Now how about I take you out to grab some
lunch. We have a lot to talk about!"
"Sounds good to me," I said.
Josh then walked up and gave me a quick kiss on the cheek before taking my
hand and leading me out of the park and off to our new lives together.
